## Chapter I. Preliminary

*Short title, extent, and commencement*

**1.** (1) This Act may be called the X Act, 2019.

(2) It extends to the whole of India.

*Definitions*

**2.** (1) In this Act, unless context otherwise requires,---

> (a) **"epic gamer"** means a natural person who plays a computer game to a high level of skill.
>
> (b) **"computer game"** refers to a computer programme in the meaning of Section 2(ffc) of the Copyright Act, 1957 that is designed to provide entertainment to its user.
>
> \(c\) **"high level of skill"** means a high achievement in skills in a certain area certified by federal or state exam authorities.
