# How to Install
### Step 1: Uninstall *Joiplay* and *RPGMaker* if already installed.
* We do not use the latest versions of these applications, so you need to uninstall if you want the game to work. Installing them **over** a pre-existing version WILL NOT WORK.
* **Most people will have the installation fail because they skip this step. DO NOT IGNORE.**
* Go to Settings -> Apps -> Joiplay -> Uninstall
* Go to Settings -> Apps -> RPG Maker -> Uninstall


### Step 2: Download the game below.

* USE THESE FILES. Files obtained from anywhere else are **FAKE**, especially if it came from a .net site.

Note: ***If the mediafire link goes down again, I will not be re-uploading it. I have already been forced to re-upload the files too many times due to them being reported to Google.***

### Step 3: DOWNLOAD PIFAndroidPlugins.

* The game crashes with other versions of Joiplay and RPG Maker. Only use the download above.

Note: ***If you get the 403 error, follow the same directions as step 2.***

### Step 4: Extract The Files Downloaded.
* Install the [<font color="FC5203">**RAR Extractor Tool**</font>](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar&hl=en_US&gl=US&pli=1) from Google Play.
* Open the Rar Extractor app and go to your Downloads folder.
* Long-tap **InfiniteFusionAndroid.zip** and choose "Extract To InfiniteFusionAndroid/" (This will be the first option)
* This will take a long time. There is a lot of sprites.
* ~45 or more minutes, depending on your device. Please be patient.
* Repeat this process for **PIFAndroidPlugins.zip**.


### Step 5: Install Joiplay
* Exit the RAR Extractor Tool.
* Open your **Files App** and navigate to the **Downloads** folder.
* Find and open the **PIFAndroidPlugins** folder.
* Install the Joiplay APK (JoiPlay-1.20.410-patreon-release) **FIRST**.

### Step 6: Install RPG Maker
* Install RPG Maker APK (RPGMPlugin-1.20.53-patreon-release.apk)

### Step 7: Move Save File to This New Folder.
* If this is your first time installing/playing, you can ignore this step and proceed to step 8.
* If you have a prior save file you would like to use, move your save file "File A.rxdata" and drag it into the main game folder. It has to be named **EXACTLY** like this - case senstive. It cannot be "File_A.rxdata".
* If you have multiple, copy all of them over.


### Step 8: Add the Game to Joiplay.
* Open Joiplay.
* Navigate to where your InfiniteFusion folder is and select InfiniteFusion.exe and tap Choose.

- `Game.exe` has been changed to `InfiniteFusion.exe`

### Step 9: Enter Game Name and Version
* It will ask you to type in Game Name and Version.
* You can enter whatever you want for Game Name
* Version: enter any number, it doesn’t matter. It isn’t used.

### Step 10: Open the Game
* Joiplay will now have the game.
* Tap on **InfiniteFusion** and it will open.

# IMPORTANT SETTINGS: Do Not Skip!

***Note: You **must** set these settings while **loaded into a save** or they will revert next time you open the game.***

### Set Text Entry to Cursor.
When you are inside the game playing, press ESCAPE, open your in game options, and set Text Entry to Cursor to fix typing issues & make sure Download Data is on.

### Set Device to Mobile
* If device is already set to Mobile:
* Change to PC, then set back to Mobile to reset.
* Save your settings, then restart the game.

**Again, These settings must be selected *while loaded into a save file! Not from the options shown in the screenshot below!***

<a id="Update"></a>
# How To Update the Game

***NOTE: Mobile does not have an updater. This game is not made for Android, so this is a limitation. The only way to Update is to redownload the entire game again.***

1. RENAME your current folder to InfiniteFusionAndroidOld. *Do this so that when you extract it, it doesn’t combine the new files with the old ones.*
2. Redownload the game from ***THIS*** guide and extract them: [<font color="FC5203">**Game Files**</font>](https://www.mediafire.com/file/sv2pu6lzofwbem7/InfiniteFusionAndroid.zip/file)
3. **Move your save file** from the old folder to the new folder. Use the Files app, not RAR. *If you have multiple save files, COPY THEM ALL OVER.*

4. Remove the game from Joiplay and add InfiniteFusion.exe from the **new folder**.

# Common Issues & Fixes / FAQ
<font color="FC5203">**WARNING:**</font> DO NOT use ANY files outside of this guide or from any website. Especially pokemoninfinitefusion (dot) net, they are not an official website for us. They are fake and we have reports of malware and bloatware being spread by them!

### Common Error #1: Https Error Fix

**Answer:**
This means you did not do step 1 and did not use our old versions of Joiplay in step 3.

*9 out of 10 players will have the installation fail and have constant game crashes because they ignore these steps.*

### Common Error #2: Compile Error - Game Not Supported On Your Device

This is usually a sign the game will not work on your device.
To resolve the error:
* In JoiPlay, long tap on the game icon --> Edit. Set engine type to RPG Maker (mkxp-z)
* Reopen the game.

After waiting, if you hear audio or the title screen with the version shown, but it is just a black screen, that means your phone is not compatible with this game.

Please check the compatibility list at the beginning of this guide prior to contacting Tech Support in the Discord Server! If your device is *NOT* listed and is not working, please let us know in `Tech-Support` in the Discord Server.

*We cannot do anything on our end to fix this since this game is not developed for Android.*

### Common Error #3: Typing is Not Working/Throwing an Error or Left/Right Are Swapped
Set your Text Entry to Cursor from in game settings.

### Common error #4: Maps Incorrectly Displaying or Tileset Name Error
This means your phone and Joiplay are struggling to load the maps.

The game comes with optimized maps already. **Only** fix you can try is to open joiplay, hold your finger on top of the game, and select optimize maps.

==NOTE: This might break your maps even further.==

If you get this error, try re-extracting the zip
### Common Error #5: Runtime Package
*This only happens on some Android phones. This may not apply to you. If you do not see this popup, you can ignore.*


**IF** it asks you to download a RunTime Package, this means your device model needs extra help making the game work.

**Fix:**
* The popup if you click Download will take you to the website where to download it from. Download the RPG Maker XP file but don't extract. Just download.
* Reopen the game on JoiPlay and select the "Choose" button this time. Select the RPG Maker XP file and it should work.

<a id="Controls"></a>
### How to Change Controls
1. Top right of JoiPlay, open settings and you will see Gamepad Settings
2. For the most part, you just need these 2 buttons. ENTER to press "A" and confirm. ESCAPE, to open menus or cancel. The only thing you need to setup is something for Q keyboard key for super speed, D to use key items

**This is what controls on PC look like:**

### Controller Support: Bluetooth ONLY

1. Connect your controller via Bluetooth
2. Enable Input Overrides

*Make sure to click on the Save Icon or it won’t work!*

3. Remove all gamepad mappings

4. Now that it is all removed, press each one of your buttons on your controller one by one to register (some buttons don’t register, that is fine. Only the important main ones will)


As you press buttons, it will fill out the screen below. Some buttons will make multiple lines (B button also added a line for BACK)

If you press A or B and it closes this pop up, reopen it to continue pressing buttons.


5. Map the buttons to in game mappings.
* Ex: DPad_UP is to move your character UP
* Ex: DPad_DOWN is to move your character DOWN
* IF DPAD_UP ,DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT are not showing up or mapping, that means your controller is not supported by the version of Joiplay we use.
* **Only Options:**
1. Use our **STABLE** version of Joiplay and Rpg Maker and don’t use that controller. **Best results**
2. Uninstall and install new Joiplay and Rpg Maker to use the controller, but **the game crashes a lot more**.
