Open Source Ecology's mission is to eliminate scarcity by creating an open source economy. We are a 501c3 nonprofit developing open source industrial machines to help people build and design their community and live with abundance. It is our dream to change the status quo of how everyday people interact with the material world around them.

We hold events as an introduction to this technical skillset and demonstrate how open collaboration can create community-scale infrastructure that enables new possibilities for wealth and community.

### Sara Bajor
Sara Bajor is an OSE Fellow who does core research on open source machines and facilitates the adoption of technology in local communities through workshops and events. She got into Open Source Ecology because she believes community participation in open source hardware is a powerful way to unlock wealth and reforge human connections. She envisions a future where people can spend less time worrying about money and more time collaborating.

### Alex Au
Alex Au is an OSE Fellow who creates social learning infrastructure through web development and technical documentation to support novices in building their world. He brings his experience as a startup co-founder and grassroots organizer to create feedback loops that enable builders to connect and learn with each other.

### Dixon Nahrwold
Dixon Nahrwold is an OSE independent collaborator who is researching how best to improve and use open source machines to create community wealth. He sees the potential for communities to create small to medium enterprises that employ underemployed men and women to support local revitalization.

# 1 Day Printer Workshop

This 1-Day, immersive workshop showcases collaborative building techniques and modular design to enable individuals of any skill level to build a printer themselves.
is intended for those people who don’t have the time to build a printer themselves – or who don’t think they have the skills to build one.

<b>Who:</b> We do not require prior experience from our participants, as we teach the basics and work as a team.
<b>What:</b> The Open Source Ecology 3D Printer Construction Set Workshop is an immersion experience building your own take-home 3D printer -- in one day.
<b>When:</b> Oct 27 @ ?time?
<b>Where:</b> Oakland
<b>Why:</b> This workshop is intended for those people who don’t have the time to build a printer themselves – or who don’t think they have the skills to build one – but who are interested in an extremely streamlined and efficient process.

### Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel for any reason, we will be happy to (a) transfer you credit towards another workshop in the future; (b) substitute the name on your ticket and have a friend take your place.
