#### I would like to announce that I have decided to be available for our Steem Community as Witness.

#### Much has happened on our Blockchain Steem in the last weeks. There is a new owner at Steemit inc. and there was a fork where the new blockchain HIVE was created. everyone will have his own opinion about what has happened and I will not go into it further. I had made the decision from day one to stay with Steem. I have consistently implemented this decision. Together with all the other active members of the community I will do my best to make Steem something special. It should not only be an interesting platform for investors, but also a home for bloggers, artists, computer scientists ... It should also be an open platform for everyone to meet friends, exchange recipes or just upload a picture, for example via appics, to show it to the community.

### Who am I?

#### At the beginning I have to admit that I am not a computer scientist. But I have a strong team that will advise and support me.

##### Until my 40th birthday I was managing partner of a medium sized company with focus on specialized wholesale and retail for satellite technology. When I reached the age of 40, I sold my company and travelled through the world with a motorhome for several years. In the end I was stranded in Greece and have been living there more or less permanently for a few years.

### Why do I / want to go this way?

#### Two years ago I founded a new, quite active community within Steem in the German speaking countries. Our goal is to improve and change the situation within Steem together.

#### The most important points for us are

* Contributions must be read again, commented if necessary and if they please also be provided with an upvote. Curation must not be done via a bot.

* We are against Voting circles, which give themselves in small groups only mutually an Upvote.

* We have created our own curator account, which gives upvotes regardless of any group affiliation, the level of reputation or the stem power of the individual member. These upvotes are given by a human curator, not a bot. The curator's post is renewed every three days.

* We have created a trail that has reached a membership of over 100. This one follows our curator.

* One of our most important tasks is to attract new members to the Steem Community and to motivate them accordingly so that they remain active members on a permanent basis.

#### There are many points that we do not like and that we think need some changes. That is the reason why I decided to represent the interests of us and certainly many other Steemians as a witness.

#### Behind me I have a whole team that will take on individual tasks.

#### These include

* Setup, administration and maintenance of the server

* Development and programming of new applications around the topic Steem

* The creation of easily understandable instructions, statistics and articles in several languages, so that everyone has the opportunity to gain insight into Steem's internal processes, especially if they are not computer scientists

#### What exactly do we have planned for the future?

* An important point is that new applications, scripts and tools will be released for Steem.

* The next bigger project is the conception of a frontend, implemented by the community for the community. More information about that soon.

* Setting up a shop system with interfaces to WordPress. Alpha version will be released at the end of the year.

* I want to reach out my hand to all other witnesses, no matter what position they hold in the ranking. We should perhaps consider a merger of all the smaller witnesses.

* **For 2020 I am trying to create a permanent facility in Greece where programmers, developers, or simply people interested in Steem can meet from all over the world. I want to provide a place where new projects can be developed and worked out. All this in a relaxed atmosphere, where sun, beach and sea will certainly not be missed. There will also be some contributions about this in the near future.**

#### Each member on Steem has the opportunity to vote for a total of 30 witnesses. I would be very happy if you would give me - actually us - one of your votes. The voting power on Steemit is unfortunately regulated in such a way, the more Steem Power you have, the more value a vote has and decides where in the ranking a witness stands. Every vote is important to me. Whether you have 15 SP or 500.000 SP. We are all part of a big community and if there is a future, we have to try to change things together.

##### I also announce with this publication that I will not pay for votes as some other witnesses do.
