Notes

  • Vidar

    • Large folders (1000s of items):
      • Browsing becomes slow There was previous discussions about changing the browser to something based on Max' effort on tree-finder (based on regular-table), but that stranded. I might be looking more on that, but timelines are uncertain and not sure what appetite is for switching default vs improving it?
      • Does startup still always hit contents API with a "/" GET, or was that fixed?
  • Mike

Discussion around web compontents adoption in the future in lumino/lab ecosystem:

  • in future maybe a new alternative implementation of Widget which would be web-component based
  • places where react is used poorly (too many roots), like toolbar buttons
  • icons may be a good target for gradual adoption, may give a boost
    • svg <use>
