# PROBLEM & SOLUTION (CHEN)

## Problem Statement
Talofa Lava and welcome to Project Toloa; Project Toloa hopes to solve a problem statement currently faced by PIANGO, a regional organization maintaining a network of NGOs from around the Pacific Region.

Part of their work includes Coordinating and ensuring the participation of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) on important topics of discussions. However, There is a clear lack of tools to properly track and collate information from CSOs across the region.

## Solution (Inspiration behind name Toloa)
THIS IS WHERE PROJECT TOLOA COMES IN…

Our solution is a fully optimized and scalable web application called TOLOA.

The name TOLOA, as we have chosen for our solution, comes from the native Samoan bird Toloa. The Toloa bird is known for its harmonious cry which it uses to communicate. This is synonymous with our vision for Toloa, a tool to be used by PIANGO to communicate and network with its regional partners.

## Features of Toloa
Toloa will provide PIANGO with a way to track and monitor TOPICS
as well as any discussions and contributions - which can be in the form of text, comments, file or attachments -

There will also be a fully functional analytics feature to provide valuable insights and metrics to help with decision making.

# BUSINESS MODEL, ADOPOTION STRATEGY, SUSTAINABILITY, TEAM & CLOSING REMARKS
Thank you Chen & Alesana. Hi everyone, my name is Andre and I will be handling the last part of the presentation.

## Business Model
Our business model consists of a partnership between Toloa and the Pacific Island Association of Non Government Organizations. In the case that our solution is the best fit, we would like to be contracted to PIANGO in order to finance the development of the solution.

More information on costs is shown on a later slide.

## Adoption Strategy
Our strategy on getting the masses to adopt our solution is done through two phases:
1) Consisting of a Campaign to push it through to the market. This will be done through paid advertising.
2) Organic Marketing, where our initial base of satisfied organizations will spread the message about our solution through word of mouth. This allows it to grow organically.

## Sustainability
Here, we have the breakdown cost of our services.
* The bulk of the cost is allocated to the development and delivery of the solution. This will be priced around the $ 10k - $15k US Dollar range and will be a one time fee.
* Software Licensing will be free, as the technologies we will be using is Open Source and security vulnerabilities for these are patched regularly.
* The hosting and domain costs amount to the $100 - $600 US Dollar range per annum.
* As mentioned on the last slide, we would like to allocate $1000 USD to initial marketing campaign for the product.
* We also will be able to provide support & maintenance at $40 USD per hour.

* Our team of working professionals with a combined experience of 10 years between each other; are able to deliever a fully secure and developed software solution in a timely manner.
* Our skillsets have evolved over time by completing various projects for our respective place of work.
