iPlayground 2019 Speaker Guidelines

  • Each session is 40 minutes in duration. If you would like to host a Q&A session at the end, please let the MC know.
  • For session advertisements, please keep it within 2 minutes.
  • If you need any special equipment for your session, please let the organizers know beforehand.
  • If your session does not allow video recording by conference attendees, please let the organizers know beforehand.
  • After your presentation, please kindly move to the area labelled “Ask The Speaker“ for the audience to continue asking questions. If there are no questions to be answered, you are free to leave the speaker area.

Layouts

  • When designing your slides, try to place your content at the top three quarters of the slide.
  • Please remember that you are legally responsible for any content you share. iPlayground does not take any responsibility for any Copyright infringements.


Colors

  • For optimal display on the projectors, please use high contrast colors between your text and background colors and avoid using dark themes.


Bad examples: Color contrasts is not enough, it's hard to read


Code showing

  • If you are doing a live demo, please change your Xcode theme settings to Presentation Large (Light) (Xcode -> Preferences -> Fonts & Colors)

  • Suggest font size for Source Editor is 36pt
  • Suggest font size for Console is 30pt


Miscellaneous

  • Please turn off any display settings you may have on (True Tone/night shift/night mode/f.lux or related functions.)
