Those languagse like to write in Romanization to distinguish the sound differences. And there are at least two layer of words for the same thing: 文音, 白話音. You don't have to write a full articles, write a sentence is fine on Wikidata. And you can rely on the existing Wikidata structure. For the nan languages, you can use other language than Mandarin as reference if you find it suitable.
