But before answering your questions, it’s important to note that Vocdoni is a non profit building an open-source, highly modular project. This means our secure voting protocol can be adapted to meet various governance needs, what is possible is simply a matter of development.

1. How do we enable structure of organisations rolling up to other organisations in a multi tenant fashion?

We’re launching a voting app (SaaS model) next month that will enable parent organizations to manage multiple sub-organizations. Later, we’ll also roll out a role-based permission system, allowing different access levels for parent and sub-organization admins. Each organization will be able to have custom censuses, configurations, and voting processes.

2. How do we create the content by which voters can read different sides to an argument, and we can assess them on their comprehension of that understanding.

With Vocdoni.app, you can include a description for each voting process, providing supporting text to help voters better understand the option to vote.

However, if you need a more complete experience and the possibility of adding discussion between arguments. You can use Decidim, an opensource governance platform that not only covers the voting phase (using Vocdoni) but also many other phases of a governance process with a great UI.

Decidim is the world’s largest governance platform, trusted by hundreds of organizations and institutions. It’s used by associations and cooperatives with tens of thousands of members, as well as governments like those of Barcelona, New York City, Helsinki, the Government of Brazil, the European Comission, etc.

3. How does gamification work?

We do not have any gamification mechanism by default, but it would be feasible to give "points" to users who participate in votings.
Then you might perform some votings where voters are weighted by the number of points using Quadratic Voting (for instance).
Anything can be done, its a matter of development and integration.

4. Where can we and other inspect data on the blockchain?

5. How can we have a lot more robustness in the Auth process?

By enabling SSI (self-sovereign identity) for your users. Meaning each will have its own keys.

I.e imagine each user of your platform creates an account such as the one you can create by visiting https://app.vocdoni.io.
As each account has its own "Address", now you can create a Census out of these Addresses and perform the voting.
This account is an identity, where the user (and only him) is the owner of the keys.

Ideally this process would happend transparently for your users by integrating our SDK into your membership platform.

You can integrate a Credential Service Provider (CSP) to enhance user authentication with more robust methods, such as SMS-based two-factor authentication (2FA), social logins (Google, GitHub, Facebook, etc.), digital certificates, or email verification. We have successfully implemented this in the past and can provide examples to guide you through the process.

Additionally, we support Gitcoin Passport, allowing you to create Web3 voting processes by setting a specific humanity score and restricting voting access to individuals who meet a defined threshold and hold a specific token. This token can be created and distributed within a community according to your preferences. Similar projects, such as Proof of Humanity, can also be seamlessly integrated.

6. Spatial voting, we want voters to be able to vote on issues near them

This is out-of-scope for the Voting protocol. However platforms such as Decidim.org (where Vocdoni is integrated as the voting module) allow this kind of things.

7. How does the backend management of users and referenda work?

The current Vocdoni APP allows only the organization creator to act as the admin and create new voting processes. In this setup, the admin creates a voting process with a one-time census (e.g., using a CSV file). The census is encrypted and tied specifically to that voting process. This is a "one-time" census and user information is never stored in plain text, only the encrypted version, preserving user's privacy.

Voters are managed via the census, which can be uploaded manually (CSV), integrated with external systems (OAuth, BrightID, etc.), or linked to blockchain-based credentials like ERC20 tokens.

The new SaaS will introduce multiple roles and permanent dynamic censuses that automatically generate a snapshot at the time of creating a voting process.

With this, admins will be able to:

• Add or remove voters from dynamic censuses and reuse them for different voting processes as needed.
• Create one-time custom censuses (e.g., CSV or other methods) for specific scenarios.

Admins can manage referenda directly through Vocdoni’s frontend:

• Configure referenda through a simple dashboard, defining parameters like start/end dates, voting types, and eligible voters.
• Ensure transparency and security with end-to-end encryption and detailed action logs.
• Automatically tally results, with real-time availability depending on the configuration.

8. Liquid voting, establishing our own process.

Liquid voting is a matter of how the Census is built. So it is out-of-scope for the voting protocol but can be implemented by customizing your membership platform (or if you decide to use Decidim.org).
