Budget request length: 6 months (January 1 - June 30 2023)
### Introduction
The document will outline the 6 month budget request for the Swapr Guild consisting of the dapp, liquidity, Zapr and DxRewards squads. ## Vision and Mission
### Vision
*"To be the go-to platform for users seeking a secure, private and fully decentralised dapp that offers access to the best possible routes and empowers them to take control of their own financial sovereignty."*
### Squad Missions
This is discussed in detail in the coming sections. The only confirmed budget allocation we are asking for is for the Swapr dapp squad. Remaining squads are based on contingency budget, the scope and OKRs will depend upon how soon we can onboard, how complete the budget is allocated and what kind of resources we are able to identify to contribute.
## Overall Guild Milestones and goals
The guild will aim to increase the usage of Swapr
- By integrating more networks,
- Integrating more aggregators
- By integrating more dexes
- Have a pivot for Swapr and remove all the other tangential or less used features.
- Unifying the swap experience
The guild will also work closely with “Voice” guild and “Operations” guild to find the value of what is being built and delivered and for timely onboarding of resources. Swapr squad is in a state of transition for this half year with some key members undergoing reduction in the time availability for Swapr.
## Budget summary
This proposal approves the following future expenses as summarized below and further detailed in the accompanying spreadsheet

And a comparison to a year ago for these same squads.

## Squad Metrics
### Swapr
The goals and OKRs are for the upcoming 6 months and are aimed at increasing the amount of users using Swapr. We will aim to go about this by expanding to new networks, aggregators and dexes. We will also bring the focus of the dapp to one thing and one thing only, making swaps easier. All the less used features will be removed from the dapp and will be spin out as a separate product. We also aim for Swapr to find its own revenue source and not depend primarily on the protocol fees. This will happen throughout the year and though this is not the goal, it would be nice to dip into avenues for revenues.
**Key Milestones and Goals:**
- Unify Swapbox and improve swap experience
- Reduce the clutter and remove less used features.
- Maintain and improve the current featureset.
- Extend to new networks, dexes, aggregators and bridge integrations
- Find revenue generating sources for Swapr dapp through grants / fee share with aggregators.
**Objectives and Key Results:**
**Objective**
Expand Swapr presence
**Key Results**
Expand to 3 new networks
Add support for 5 new dexes
Add 1inch and 2 more aggregators
Add 2 bridge integrations
**Objective**
Improve swap experience
**Key Results**
16M USD 6 month volume. (current projected volume is 7M USD)
Atleast 500K volume (?) in 6 different networks
Retention? How to measure?
---------
### Liquidity
This is the first product split and most important one. At current rate, liquidity.eth is same as the Swapr core contracts. But the aim of this squad is to find ways of providing liquidity attractive to the projects and a governable way of asking for liquidity.
> Option: Move Create campaigns to liquidity.eth and have tight integrations between projects that put up liquidity and wants to create campaigns for their LM campaigns.
The biggest success of Swapr has been the COW farming and Swapr realises the value of having valuable launch partners while we launch this new liquidity.eth product. The success of this product will greatly magnify if we can ensure we launch this with atleast 4 to 6 new partners and will require the Voice guild to lead this initiative in researching and figuring out who could be potential partners that will benefit DXDao and Swapr.
**Key Milestones and Goals:**
- Research the next gen liquidity engine
- Separate AMM from Swapr and position liquidity.eth as a separate product.
**Objective**
Complete the research
**Key Results**
Deliver a plan / budget and roadmap
-----
#### Zapr
This is the second product split. We want to make it easier for users to zap in and out to LP positions. With Liquidity.eth available, users should also be able to migrate their position from one dex to another in 1 click. The users should also be able to exit liquidity positions based on market conditions. It might be good to look for partners that specialise on this and then make a better UX by integrating with our core contracts.
The OKRs here are based on the availability of team on the 1-Jan. If the budgets are approved and DAO would like to fund this small initiative, we will need to find a new set of devs as mentioned in the budget spreadsheet. Based on what budget is made available, the scope of the milestones / goals will differ and OKRs will differ as well.
**Key Milestones and Goals:**
- Build out a seperate dapp for managing liquidity
- Users should be able to add / remove liquidity
- Investigate LP creation with UniV3 style contracts
- Investigate conditional exit liquidity
- Audit zapping contracts (need to find how much this will be to budget)
**Objective**
Build and maintain permissionless zapping
**Key Results**
Deliver a plan and roadmap
Launch on atleast 6 networks and 8 dexes
Investigate how this will work on UniV3 contracts
Identify a partner to implement conditional exit liquidity
**Objective**
Increase users and traction (if launched)
**Key Results**
Have atleast 5000 zaps in the first 3 months of the launch
Have atleast 1000 zaps from unique addresses
----
### DxRewards
This is the third product split. Create campaigns from Swapr is not in its right place and crowds the dapp. It might be best suited if we can rip this out of Swapr and spin this out as a separate dapp. Right now, this works only for Swapr pools, but the contracts support any ERC20. Would be nice to create this as a separate dapp that will become a permissionless campaign creator that can be used across networks and across dexes. Uniswap controls almost 75% of LPs and the primary goal would be to figure out how this would work with UniV3 styled contracts / concentrated liquidity since they are ERC721. Rewards are also currently only ERC20, would be good to align with Carrot release to make Carrot campaigns created right out of this dapp and also add fractionalised NFTs as a variety of rewards.
**Key Milestones and Goals:**
- Separate and remove “create campaign” from Swapr
- Extend this to other dexes and networks and not limited to Swapr.
- Update contracts to extend campaigns
- Include Carrot campaigns after Carrot MVP
- Research new reward types like fractionalised NFTs
**Objective**
Launch DxRewards
**Key Results**
Launch the product
Complete integrating UniV3, if investigation successful
Include atleast 5 other dexes
Launch on Polygon, Optimism and Arbitrum
**Objective**
Partner with products
**Key Results**
Atleast 5 launch partners
Atleast 10 campaigns outside of DXdao

## Guild Personnel
Individual contributor lists, contributor level information per [approved guidelines](https://dxvote.eth.limo/#/mainnet/proposal/0xaa3c6d9953d5510a0f014f946e94f03f07a4e5259718e86f07d41d255917e410), and time commitment as percentage of full time. Swapr is going through a transformation, where a few personnel are only going to be available until Feb and will move on to other products. It would be wise for Swapr to have atleast 1 more full time developer that can take over frontend leadership from Adam.
| Contributor | Level | Time commitment (hrs/ week) | Role description |
|--|--|--|--|
| Zett | 7 | 13.33 | Guild facilitator, squad lead for liquidity.eth, UX lead and Product designer (60% till Feb, 20% from March to June)
|Venky|7|40|Project lead, squad lead for Swapr dapp. Splits time between other squads within Swapr guild.|
|Adam|7|13.33|Dev lead (60% till Feb, 20% from March to June)|
|Violet|5|8|Frontend developer (available 60% till Feb)|
