# QF for CO ## Desired Outcomes for Pilot **Learning Objectives** * What are the opportunities and pain points for this method of funding for State and Local governments? Is this a viable option for grant allocation and future public/private partnerhsips? **OIT/ColoradoJam** * Generate interest in other departments of Colorado to run quadratic funding experiments **QFATTDao (Working Title)** * Case study to launch QFATTDao + Membership Drive * 5 Key Delegates (Examples: GitCoinDAO, Nathan Schneider, Glen Weyl, Balaji Srinivasan) * Apply and secure addtional 100k in funding for operations and program development. ## Pilot Materials + Costs * **Matching Pool.** These are the funds that will match contributions in a quadratic manner; see https://wtfisqf.com/. * **Operations Headcount.** While this depends on the program we run, we anticipate a minimum of 2 individuals dedicated to outreach, voting support, project & proposal assessment, etc. * **Projects / Proposals to Fund** * These will be County or Municipality-submitted * Suggestion: Run micro-rounds per county. Setting 1 county against another wouldn't be beneficial. * Could possibly experiment w/ weighing different geographic regions so the broader the geographic support, the stronger the weight ## Pilot Strategies ### Targeted pilot for MyColoradoID penetration into neighborhoods, populations etc ### Allocate ~3% of American Recovery Act Budget Democratize allocation of a small portion of the American Recovery Act budget where every voter in Colorado uses MyColoradoID to vote on how the ARA funds are allocated. ### Public Funds for Public Goods Raise $250k for public goods, pick 2-3 municipalities, let the public allocate funds. ## Time Commitent & Timeline Necessary to determine weekly time commitment and overall timeline. EthDenver 2022 was mentioned as the ultimate target. ## Budget Currently everyone present has committed 3-5 hours a month to developing leads and projects for free. Actual labor costs to build this are not unsubstantial. Will be important to see how this might split up between Gitcoin, ColoradoJam, etc.
