## before mint

* Q: I have the Hashlips "0.png / image.png" problem, how can I solve it?

First of all, we recommend using the following 2 candy machine V2 CLI commands to generate your NFTs instead of using hashlips.

#create_generative_art [options]

if you still want to use hashlips:

Using a python script, you can easily change the URI of all your .json files to be the matching number .png instead of the image.png placeholder which no longer works.
Be sure you adjust the script by adding how many json files you want to change (in the range section) and the path to your json files.

To run the script, use npm install python to install python, and then use "python _relative-path.py_" replacing relative path whith wherever you saved the python script file
and then replace your old metadata files with the new ones generated by the script.

* Q: what is a custom RPC?

Using a custom RPC node can solve a lot of problems that you have on the mainnet caused
by congestion of the solana network. To use one, you'll first need to sign up for an account
and create the node by paying the fee. We can recommend quicknode, but there are other providers you can check out as well.

Once you've signed up you can copy the link to the node that the service provides you. Then when you run a command such as upload, or verify or anything of the sort you can use the flag --rpc-url and paste the URL you copied to use your custom access point. Additionally, you can paste this URL on the front end of your mint as well, in the section of the environment variables labled "REACT_APP_SOLANA_RPC_HOST" to have all the mints run through that access point.

NOTE: that while using a custom RPC, you'll be rate limited depending on the purchased plan. Be sure to purchase a node that has enough rate to handle the transactions of your mint. In some users experience, the 9 dollar quicknode plan is good for ~800 mints.

* Q: Where can I find my Candy Machine ID?

Check your cache file.

* Q: can solTreasuryAccount be different than the one I used to create/upload Candy Machine?

Yes. This is the Solana address that will receive the SOLs gathered during the minting process. This is the authority from the .cache/devnet-temp file. Recommended is to just use the same wallet.

* Q: Can I split the mint SOL I earn into different wallets?

Not possible without working on the Contract.

* Q: can you recommend a better frontend than candy-machine-ui

* Q: Can I have 2 or more Candy Machines for my collection?

Yes it's ok, as e.g. Magic Eden (one of the biggest marketplaces) has a form where you can fill multiple candy machine ID‘s in.

* Q: How do I mint my NFTs for free (for giveaways, etc.)

The authority wallet (one that creates the candymachine) can mint for (nearly) free

* Q: How to make the mint stop after a certain amount of item have been minted?

You can use endSettings configuration provided by Metaplex.

* Q: How much does everything cost for x amount NFTs?

Basically they need the hashlist and verified creator id of the collection for CMv2

* Q: What is signing my NFTs?

Signing is for verifying the creator. If you don't sign your NFTs, then someone could basically steal all your images and create their own CM with them and people wouldn't know which one is from the real creator. Some Marketplaces even do not accept your project if you don't sign them.

* Q: How do I update metadata for a minted NFT?
