# Private Document with Meta Notes: Community Cross-Pollination Ecosystem Temperature Check

#### The following questions are given to set the context for the interviews that will ensue. There are 5 main sections for you to think about. Please use the questions as prompts an try to answer in a way that will express your needs and frustrations most directly.

### Web3 Problems: Differences and Commonalities
> *We want to know what are the recurring governance/organizational problems that you are facing and the kind of problems they are.*

* What are the top three problems you are experiencing or have observed as a DAO Contributor/ Steward?

Be careful with asking opinion-based questions. Answers may be valuable or wildly off. Typically, you want to stick to questions that are based on that person's direct experiences and draw conclusions from there. These are fine for conversational purposes._**

* What has been most difficult in solving these problems?

### Causes and Difficulties
> *We want to figure out what you think is behind common problems and if you see them as something that all web3 communities face or if that is something particular to your own.*

* Why do you think the problem exists? What do you think is its root cause?
* Do you think it is a problem inherent to the space, or it is something else e.g. execution, culture, etc.?

* What solutions have you tried? How well do you think those solutions work?
* Which one of them proved to be dead ends? What are you trying out now? What solutions do you plan to try out?
* Do you know any other organizations working on solutions? Maybe from a different perspective?
* *Are you also documenting your solutions (and trial-and-errors) somehow? Is this document open to the public?*

### The bridge between web3-academia

> *At SCRF, we try to promote collaboration and build impact networks between industry and academia – we want industry to be able to request solutions from academia, and for academia to tap into the data and trials industry is working on…*

* What is your organization’s relationship to researchers and academics? Do you have contributors who also work in academia?
* What is your experience using research?
* What research areas or topics such as security, privacy, governance, etc. are most interesting to you? Do they directly relate to your organizational needs?
* For the problems you’ve mentioned, do you have any data you would like to analyze as part of a research project?
- What research, if any, would be helpful? What information do you want from your counterparts?
* What’s a problem researchers and industry could work together on?
* Is there any problem for which you would like to request a solution from academia?
* What problems should academia work on that are not currently being worked on right now?

### How we are tackling this as Cross-Pollinators

> As part of the Cross-Pollinator project we will be using the SCRF Forum for community stewards from different web3 orgs to post brief catch-ups and reports about what is happening in their communities with the ultimate goal of facilitating knowledge exchange, awareness and building stronger network of collaboration.
> What we would ask from your organization is to delegate a community steward to report regularly. The delegate can avail of the SourceCred algorithm used on the SCRF Forum and earn DAI for posting. The more their posts promote community enagement on the forum, the more they can earn.
