Hi again Marcus,

We decided this year to organize a little meeting to welcome our international students. We don’t know how many will come to the campus with the circumstances (all the lectures will be done by distance for international programs) but if they come, they should have a decent welcome and feel like belonging to the institution.

So we will invite them for a Swedish fika Thursday 3/9 between 15-17 at Videum (that is to confirm still). It will be more like an informal meeting with possibility to try VR-studio.

Växjö Kommun will be here too and talk about the IT labourmarket. Softwerk will come too and talk about the importance of learning Swedish if they planned to stay in Sweden.

So I was thinking that as we already are at Videum, you could do a short presentation of Kodkollektivet and show them the Innovation Lab. I can think that some of the international students will be happy to find a place where they can gather and talk about IT.

Programmets dag 26/8 (hosting microbit workshop for 100 new LNU students)
Who think themselves available to help out this day?
This is a "for free" thing we do cause LNU gives us 10k/year, correct? Considering it's a whole day of work, or maybe more with prep.
We should prepare well for this and recruit some students in to KK. By showing everything available and possible at KK, in the innovationlab and VSP.
Event info:
We got some news for the introduction week for new students so I tried to adapt the program and wanted to see if it will work for you.
We are allowed to gather students physically if it does not exceed 50 persons. We will have around 100 students from the first year.
So I book the whole day at Videum and we will have 50 students on the morning and 50 on the afternoon. Then this 50 students will be divided in 2 groups of 25, like this they can keep good distance :blush: (I was thinking that they can be in group of 2 or 3 together for the workshop).
One group will have the Micro:bits workshop upstairs while the other group will be downstairs with activities such as Videum VR (if possible) and some activities with companies. So it will be total 4 workshop of about 1,5 hours.
Of course this program can always change, and we will maybe have to do everything online. So we could have maybe only 2 workshops, one morning and one afternoon in this case.
