# Client Onboarding Process

*Note: the purpose of this document is to record how the client onboarding flow currently works, so we can communicate all the steps to raiders (via the handbook) and to clients (as they go through each step of the process)*

### For clients
1. Fill out application form
2. Pay 300 DAI fee
3. Will be contacted by a raider to a) schedule a consult or b) have the fee returned if the project is not a fit for the guild c) request more details?
4. Consultation with raider
5. After the consult, a raider follows-up with a summary of the consult, including recommendations and a rough quote (?)
6. An initial design sprint may be scheduled to further scope out the project and provide a detailed quote
7. Receives invoice (link to escrowed payment system) to pay from project lead
8. Once paid, is invited to join project channel in RG Discord

#### Questions
* How long is the consult? What does client need to prepare?
* What will a client receive by the end of the consultation period? Is it a document? Rough quote? Anything else?
* At what point is the client invited into a Discord channel for their project?

### For raiders
1. Application details posted in #client-submissions channel – internal chats happen to see if it's a fit, there are raiders interested.
2. Cleric claims the submission and follows up with the client to either a) schedule a consult or b) let them know that we won't take on their project & refund the app fee
3. If consult is on, a channel is spun up in CAMPS for raiders to communicate about how to approach the project

#### Questions
* How is a client refunded for the fee if RG decides it's a project we don't want to take on? A: that amount is sent to client address from the guild bank

#### Ideas
* Use escrow system to hold the 300 DAI – can be released back to client's wallet if a) consult never happens or b) raiders decide they don't want the project
* Have guild members answer a form: Have you ever gone through RG hire us form? Did you intend to make a purchase? Tell us your feedback:

### Basic onboarding steps
1. Click on hire us (opens form)
2. Project type (new/existing)
3. Project name
4. Brief summary
5. Do you have any functional documents / specs / mockups? (Yes/Sorta/No)
6. Skills needed (Roles)
7. Priorities (pick two)
8. Relevant Link/URL
9. Desired date of Completion
10. Desired budget
11. Name
12. email
13. Telegram or discord handle
14. How did you hear about the guild?
15. Anything else?
16. Pay 300 Dai and submit
17. Receives message from Cleric and either sets up a consultation date or is told we won't be taking on the project
18. Does consultation and receives an estimate for X proposed work, focused on skills requested
19. If agreed to the proposal, makes payment and joins #raid channel in Discord
20. Raid ensues
