Discussion Points

  • REMOVE Zoom link from google doc!! it's a bad link.
    • look into zoom settings. Maybe we can just make it a public link.

Ways to engage the community to be guest editors

  • Go back through people who have gone to meetings. And perhaps reach out to them? People who have been the most involved.
  • Consider updating the docs for editors to help people feel more prepared.

Work on and update dev guide

  • Two guides potentially
    • One that is developer/author-focused
      • Maybe don't use the word "dev_guide", maybe something like "author_guide"?
    • One that is editor/reviewer/process-focused
  • Updates to editor process

Review policy

  • officially a reviewer should not ask for something in return. We need to add this language about "pyopensci" is not goign to reciprocate labor if someone volunteers.

  • for pyopensci people are coming to us more because they want to improve their code and packages

  • Infrastructure improvements

    • Jupyter Book version update
