https://settlemints.wtf/ - The basic idea is simple, you get to see leaderboards showing who has settled the most auctions from our DAOs, who has voted the most, and which of those DAOs have had the most settlements. You can filter settlement data by user, DAO, or date, which is very useful for DAOs that are reimbursing for settlement, and to help users monitor their spending habits.
In addition to the leaderboard pages, we are working on detail pages for users, DAOs, and projects. We are starting to pull data into these pages (no design yet). You can see some of that on The Builder DAO Page, where we have the next two episodes of BuilderBox w/ProfWerder and ToadyHawk. The same events show on ProfWerder's Page. Further down the road, you will be able to add the events to your Google Calendar, send them to your discord channel, and more.
We have a unique opportunity to showcase different DAOs on nouns.build, and to drive traffic to auction settlement pages, whether that is on nouns.build, or an external settlement party site.
When the price of eth skyrocketed, most noun style auctions were not settled in a timely manner. This is still an issue for some of the DAOs who are on Ethereum, and those without a marketing budget, business experience, and/or the tech to setup bots. Just like Buider DAO, we want to make easy to use tools that navigate the sometimes complicated web3 data, and end up with something that helps share the word about nouns.build and L2.
Nouns.build has tons of interesting DAOs, whom have had little exposure to the Nouniverse. Our site is a way to expose end users to these DAOs, while getting users excited about settling auctions at the same time. Weird, right?
By offering NFTs and eth prizes and surprises, we will show evidence of more/faster settlements for all of the DAOS, by making it fun and rewarding to settle. We also want to add value for the DAOs, by giving them a place to share their events, link to related websites (stores, mints, aftermarket sites, anything), and to become a sponsor, if they would like to.
A great amount of time has been invested to create a code infrastructure that, once complete, will allow us to quickly:
Our database table of DAOs is built from information pulled from thegraph and goldsky for nouns.build DAOS, and entered by hand for Nouns DAO and forks thereof. But, users will eventually be able to add new projects and DAOs as we grow.
The transaction data comes from the blockchain using data from several different APIs, and we have written code to parse each of these in a meaningful and easy to use way. Currently, our scripts are run manually, but we are preparing to have these run when users access the site, so that we can create excitement for what their page load imports, such as new DAOs on nouns.build, new NFTs minted, and more!
We are receiving several requests and ideas every day, many of which are crazy cool, but do require considerable dev time. Those are listed below, and will be addressed when Round 1 is complete.
The site is the first step of the culmination of over a years' work by xargs, Santhosh, and houseofdrey, as they have studied and managed dataflow in regard to Nounish projects as they relate to the web3 transactions, events, and physicals that promote the DAOs. We have explored community reward by various methods. And, we have explored dozens of tools for the movement of that data into and out of discord, google cals, etc. Now we get to pull it all together!
Special Thanks to ProfWerder, Benbodhi, Toady Hawk, Symbiotech, Gami, and RFG, for all of the things they do to teach the rest of us.
Our ask includes retro funding, as well as covering xargs to continue to work on the site for another month, during which we would like to do an experiment with Builder DAO.
We would like to do a one month experiment where we give prizes to folks who settle, which we can base on different criteria to be determined. Some options:
"Hey! You just found a new DAO on Nouns Builder!"
*Hey! You uncovered that someone just minted an XYZ!
*GM! Nouns DAO Africa needs settling. Hop to it for 10xp and a chance to win something
from our prize wallet.
Our ask represents X% of the treasury, which was XΞ at the time of this writing.
We also ask for a donation of NFTs to start out our prize wallet! This will allow us to offer more prizes & share Nounish fun!
