## tl:dr: fun with settlement data

https://settlemints.wtf/ is the result of over a years' work by xargs, Santhosh, and houseofdrey, as they have studied and managed dataflow in regard to nounish daos as they relate to web3 transactions, as well as the events and products that promote the DAOs.

When the price of eth skyrocked, DAOs started going stale and nobody was settling the auctions. Momentum was lost, and we want to make sure that never happens again.

With the introduction of Level 2s, setteling auctions is quite affordable, and we aim to make it fun and rewarding! We can already use the date filters to see the impact of L2s on costs.

We would like to reward folks for settling auctions, and help DAOs on ehtereum move to L2s to bring down costs.

We aim to be a fun website full of info to explore, challenges, and yummy data. Which, will expose folks to new daos and provide an infrastructure to quickly build out custom pages and widgets, such as DAO Wars! Where we could show the current bids and time to end for both factions! And, of course, encourage ppl to go settle when the time is right!

Our current build is a small slice of what we can do. We are working on detail pages for users, DAOs, and projects. And, we are receiving several requests and ideas every day!

We will get new folks particing in new DAOS, and learning to use web3 tools.

New data will come in as people surf and trigger imports.

## Timeline

This budget will cover Phase 1. This work will be in 3 months tops.

Finish wireframe (project and user detail pages)

Design

Restructure db for zora & other L2s & update code accordingly

Automate imports and create triggers that create fun notices to users

Track outgoing links and create reports

Allow user to set their pfp and prefered nns/ens names (and update all related data)

Create forms for users to add newsletters, events, links, etc, and associate them with usrs/DAOs/projects

With community input, create some blocks that show what auctions need to be settled w/links to settlement sites. These could also include the next Builder Box episode, fun stuff like DAO Wars, etc.

Brainstorm a way to "mass settle" a bunch of auctions! If doable on the budget, do it!

Experiment with xp and community funding. Setup a prize / community reward system

Clean the code up, add comments, move vars & setup git repository

**Phase 2** will be on a new prop following the happy completion of this one, and I hope it to include the following, in addition to what community reqests.

infrastructure for users/daos to create their own design, website, etc. i would love to let them mint the designs so that others can buy them as on Zora Create.

Binding wallets, so that users can see their combined settlements together

Create widgets that people can add to their websites which show current auction status, link to settle, link to bid, etc.

# **Northstar Check**

## **Builder DAO is dedicated to the creation and development of free and accessible DAO infrastructure as a public good.**

settleMints.wtf will provide a cc0 repository in addition to having a web based infrastructure that DAOs can use to share their settlement data, without interferance of our sharing other DAOs. We will also provide widgets that folks can put on their own websites to help proliferate and educate in an attainable way.

## **The Budget**
Our ask represents 2.75% of the treasury, which was 545.755eth at the time of this writing.

All funds will go into a multisig which can be considered as "Tracy Carpenter" for tax purposes.

At the start of the project, and each month there after, for 3 months, we will execute transactions from the multisig into 4 liquid wallet accounts representing partitions.
