# Nagasaki Expresss Written Public Opinion on IR Plan

Nagasaki Prefecture had time to listen to written opinions on the preparation of the comprehensive resort development plan (IR) on the 22nd. The opportunity for residents to provide written opinions is until Jan. 17.


Separately, a formal public consultation hearing on the topic is scheduled to begin in February.

The district (區) plan will have a conference hall and a concert hall that can accommodate 6,000 people, it said on the 22nd. It is expected to be a concierge facility that introduces the culture, food, and entertainment of the Kyushu region where Nagasaki is located to tourists from abroad.

The prefectural government has asked its suppliers to provide the names of the companies that will participate in the plan by the end of this month.

Under the timeline mentioned by the Nagasaki prefectural government, Casino Austria must present a financing plan for its proposed plan of 350 billion yen ($3.09 billion) by the end of next month.

The Japanese government announced on Oct. 1 the weighting it would give local authorities when they opened an application period to attract casino resorts in the country to score applicants.
