About the event

Clash of Codes is a renowned competitive programming competition that allows competitors to demonstrate their problem-solving and coding skills. Individual competitors of all skill levels are welcome to compete in this competition.

Participants will be challenged to tackle a series of four code challenges in an hour throughout the session. Each issue has been designed to evaluate several facets of a participant's coding expertise, such as coding efficiency and debugging abilities. The winner of the competition will be the individual who correctly solves the most issues while meeting all of the judging requirements.

Participants can learn from their peers and interact with those who share their interests. Whether you're a seasoned coder or just getting started, our event aims to offer a unique and difficult opportunity to hone your abilities and compete against other code wizards.

  • Duration: 1 hour
  • Event Day: Saturday, 18th February, 2023 (6th Falgun)
  • Time: 12:00pm – 01:00pm

Rules and Regulations

  • Once the competition has begun, we ask that you refrain from talking about the issues with your teammates or anyone nearby. You can ask a volunteer at the event if it is a genuine query.
  • It goes without saying that you cannot copy code or search the internet.
  • The supported languages are C, C++, JavaScript, Python, and Rust.
  • Each program will be tested based on our judging criteria. However output and input should be exactly as specified in the problem.
  • The competition will be done in hacker rank, using any other online IDE is prohibited. If your local IDE is not sharing or mirroring your code with anyone else, you are free to use it instead.
  • Any participant found to be indulging in any form of malpractice will be immediately disqualified.

Judging Criteria

  • Your code will be judged based on its efficiency and readability.
  • You can submit solutions as many times as you'd like, there are no penalties for incorrect submissions. Only your best correct submission will be considered.
  • Those who submit the solution first will be placed higher in the rankings in case of a draw.
