Here, you'll find the latest developments and progress within the Nervos ecosystem. Stay tuned for monthly updates to keep up-to-date on all things Nervos. This edition was curated by the CKBFans Chinese Community. [TOC] ## Highlights - 👨‍💻 Latest Core & Axon Teams Updates - 📈 Binance Futures Launches CKB Perpetual Contracts with Up to 20X Leverage - 💡 Nervos, .bit, and JoyID Host Web3 Meetup in Singapore - 🎓 Nervos Foundation Researcher CipherWang Participates in WDMS Singapore 2023 - 🚀 Nervos, Godwoken, and .bit to Participate in ETHDenver - 💥 CKB Community Fund Takes Action: First Proposal Approved - 📱 JoyID, the First Digital Identity Solution with Biometric Technology, Begins Internal Testing ## 1. Insights ### 1.1 ForceBridge [Forcebridge](https://forcebridge.com) is a cross-chain bridge that connects CKB with other blockchains. Force bridge currently supports two chains - the Ethereum network and the BSC network and will support more blockchains, such as Bitcoin, Tron, EOS, etc., in the future. In terms of data, as of the release of this newsletter, the Total Value Locked (TVL) on ForceBridge has accumulated to $7,380,287, with the trend shown as follows: ![](https://i.imgur.com/U5GXNuw.png) Total Volume Locked on ForceBridge: - **Ethereum:$ 6,599,284** - **BSC:$ 977,169** The following graph shows the assets locked on the Ethereum bridge: ![](https://i.imgur.com/S8xDr4n.png) The number of **ETH** locked on the Ethereum bridge is **852**, while the number of **USDC** locked is **4,604,162**. ![](https://i.imgur.com/GMUoetA.png) **The above graph shows the asset distribution** on the Ethereum bridge, with USDC accounting for 69% and ETH accounting for 20%. Now let's look at the cross-chain data from BSC: ![](https://i.imgur.com/OmVa7bP.png) **The number of BNB locked on the BSC bridge is 2,562.** ![](https://i.imgur.com/WciAcs4.png) **The above graph shows the asset distribution on the BSC bridge**, with BNB accounting for 77%, BTCB accounting for 5%, and USDC accounting for 17%. ### 1.2 Godwoken - Layer 2 ![](https://i.imgur.com/UElnryR.png) 📅 28.02.2023 ⏮ #TVL last period: 🆕 #TVL this period: 📈 30-day growth: 8.16% view the Godwoken v1 data on [Geckoterminal](https://www.geckoterminal.com/godwoken/yokaiswap/pools) view the Godwoken v0 data on [defillama ](https://defillama.com/chain/Godwoken) >About Godwoken >Godwoken is a Layer2 solution that includes Polyjuice’s EVM compatibility layer + Roll-up expansion. The team announced on November 4 the official launch of the beta version on the Nervos CKB mainnet and the whitelist for developers to join the beta. >Godwoken Layer 2 ensures high throughput and security. Combined with its Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) support, it enables developers to employ Ethereum contracts while keeping transactions scalable, fast, and low-cost. > >For more information about the capabilities of Godwoken, please visit https://www.nervos.org/blog/nervos-launches-godwoken-mainnet-beta. ### 1.3 Hashrate ![](https://i.imgur.com/ZCLr8N2.png) 📅 **28.02.2023** 🔨 **30-day average hashrate**: 85.88 P 📉 **30-day average growth rate**: 35.33% 💰 **CKB per T:** approx. 88 CKB ( -27) >About the Hashrate > >Hashrate refers to how much computing power is being used by a network to process transactions. It can help investors gauge the health and security of a cryptocurrency’s network. The hashrate is an important measure of how decentralized a cryptocurrency’s proof of work network may be against hackers. That’s because the higher a hashrate is, the more complex and costly it is for someone to attack the network. ### 1.4 YokaiSwap Staking ratio ![](https://i.imgur.com/BNtzrg2.png) Legend: - Red: $YOK tokens locked in the farms’ LP; - Blue: $YOK staked in the automatic Monster Pools; - Green: $YOK staked in the manual Monster Pools; - Yellow: Idle $YOK. Due to the ongoing migration to Godwoken V1, about 33.34% of YOK are currently idle. >About Yokaiswap >Yokaiswap is the first Nervos based DEX built on Godwoken, a high-performance permissionless framework for Layer 2 Rollup. After 3 months of public testing, Yokaiswap was officially launched on December 01, 2021. Yokai’s smart contracts use Solidity, the same language as Ethereum Dapps, and provide a fully compatible contract through Polyjoice, one of the core components of Nervos Interoperability 2.0. This means all Ethereum-based Dapps can connect to Nervos at almost zero cost. **Follow YokaiSwap at:** >Official website: https://yokaiswap.com/ Discord: https://discord.gg/eaCEvRQeAx Twitter: https://twitter.com/yokaiswap Github: https://github.com/YokaiSwap ### 1.5 .bit (Formerly DAS) [.bit](https://did.id) is the DID (Decentralized Identity) on Nervos. *As of the publication of this magazine, the statistics on [das.la](https://das.la) are as follows: ![](https://i.imgur.com/itxv93r.png) ![](https://i.imgur.com/UCYlxyn.png) Currently, .bit accounts with characters consisting of 4 or more pure digits, pure emoji, pure Thai, or pure Korean characters can be registered through the account selection tool das.la developed by the community. ## 2.Development Progress Update ### 2.1 👨‍💻 Latest Core & Axon Teams Updates ![](https://i.imgur.com/hcFs7Sm.jpg) The core and Axon teams have made several updates to improve the performance and overall development experience of CKB. A hard fork is being planned with increased performance and advanced interactions between contracts. The latest dev log includes testing of Halo2, a ZK solution for Zcash and Polygon ZK-EVM. The updates will feature a flexible block header, new syscalls, faster performance, live cell commitments, better naming conventions, and proposals from the community. The Halo2 solution has been verified on CKB and can be used to run ZK applications with ease. The Axon team has also been working on staking and ETH2 light client research. They have abstracted the CKB built-in type id contract and replaced some implementations of RLP with a RLP proc-macro refactor. The team has also finished research on the integration of ERC-20 gas payments and will be sharing their design document soon. The team is still discussing issues related to staking and election design for Axon, such as using the claim pattern to decouple validator accounting and rewarding, and solving L2 liveness problems through L1 governance. They are also researching the integration with the Ethereum 2.0 light client, which is still in its early stages. The team will share any progress made on the Github discussion. **Related Links** - Halo2 can be verified on CKB, bring on the ZK Examples: https://github.com/xxuejie/halo2-samples - Improved CKB Indexer search:https://t.co/cfzDMotZku ### 2.2 🔧 Godwoken's Gasless Feature: Improving the Web3 User Experience ![](https://i.imgur.com/3XnjgFc.png) Godwoken is working on the feature called Gasless, aimed at enhancing the user experience in the Web3 world. This feature allows developers to sponsor transaction fees for users, eliminating the need for users to acquire the native token (CKB or ETH) before participating in blockchain games or exchanging tokens on a DEX. This can be a challenge for new users and a barrier to entry into the Web3 world. The Gasless Feature is currently in its MVP stage and is available for testing on the testnet. The feature is based on a simplified version of the ERC-4337 solution and works by having users sign and send a unique gasless transaction, which is then processed by two smart contracts: Entrypoint and Paymaster, deployed by the developer. Gasless has several use cases, including DEX/Lending transactions and NFT minting and exchange. By allowing developers to sponsor transaction fees, this feature can reduce the entry threshold for participating in crypto gaming and decrease project inflation. However, it's important to note that the gasless feature doesn't work with native token transfers or allow users to pay the gas fee with ERC20 tokens. The gas fee can only be paid with native tokens. The Godwoken team is focused on the development of Gasless, which is a simplified version of the ERC-4337 solution. More information about this feature can be found at:https://docs.godwoken.io/gasless-feature. ## 3. Deployed on the Nervos CKB blockchain, JoyID aims to provide a more secure and reliable access method for billions of users worldwide and make Web3 more accessible. JoyID utilizes Webauthn technology to create a public-private key pair on the user's device, which is then signed with the private key, making it inaccessible to others. The solution supports multiple devices, social recovery, CoTA Rollup NFTs, FT assets management, as well as the management of L1 assets such as CKB and SUDT. It also includes features such as a username, profile picture, and a combination of username and UID as an identity identifier. ![](https://i.imgur.com/fg2h9hz.png) Why is JoyID set to revolutionize the wallet game? 1. JoyID leverages Passkey technology to securely manage users' private keys on the device side, with access through biometric information. Passkey is supported by leading tech giants, including FAANG. 2. Deployed on Nervos CKB, the platform provides two unique features that make it the only possible chain to support Passkey, including support for arbitrary cryptographic algorithms and full-featured account abstraction. 3. Although launched on CKB, JoyID is still compatible with EVM, with plans to launch a JoyID-supported layer 2 EVM chain in Q2, making it possible to bring EVM dApps to over 1 billion users.
