## 阿里山國家森林遊樂區
Alishan National Forest Recreation Area is the most famous Forest Recreation Area in Taiwan, and there are five most representative scenery including: sunrise, sea of clouds, forest, railway, and sunset.
阿里山國家森林遊樂區是台灣最著名的森林遊樂區，這裡有五個最具代表性的風景，包括日出，雲海，森林，鐵路，晚霞。

When visiting Alishan, we can experience nature and humanities. During the Japanese colonial peirod, the Japanese government discovered the forest resources in the mountain, they started the development of forest resources and open up a new page of forestry culture in Alishan.
來到阿里山，可以體驗自然及人文特色。日據時期日本人發現阿里山的森林資源後，開始了森林資源的開發，便開啟了阿里山林業文化新的一頁。

Some logging historical remains can still be found today, like this cypress made pillar, which is used to collect woods in the early days.
一直到今天都還可以發現一些伐木遺跡，像是這個用檜木製成的集材柱。

Moreover, there are abundant natural resources in Alishan, due to its cloud forest. Only 1% of forest is cloud forest in the world, and what makes it special is that it is often veiled in mist. Therefore, this place breeds many special species, like cypress,only seven kinds of cypress are discovered in the world, surprisingly, Alishan takes two. In addition to the huge variety of flowers and trees, Alishan is also an ideal venu to observe middle and high altitude birds.
由於位處於雲霧林帶，阿里山擁有豐富的自然資源。世界上只有1％的森林是雲霧林，這裡的特色始終是霧濛濛。它有許多特殊的樹種，如檜木，世界上只有七種檜木，阿里山就有兩種。除了多樣的植物外，阿里山也是觀賞中高海拔鳥類的好地方。
## 祝山
The best place to watch sunrise is Zhushan, where can be reached by a short train ride from Alishan Train Station.
最適合觀賞阿里山日出的地點是祝山，可從阿里山火車站搭短程火車前往。

Zhushan station is the highest train station in Taiwan, which is 2400m high.
祝山車站是台灣最高的火車站，高2400m。
## 櫻花
March and April are the seasons for cherry blossom, during these two mounths, Alishan Forest Recreation Area is filled with beautiful pink and white cherry blossoms.
三、四月為阿里山的櫻花季，在這兩個季節，阿里山森林遊樂區會開滿漂亮的粉紅色和白色櫻花。
## 玉山山脈
Mount Jade is the highest mountain in Taiwan and north-eastern Asia, high 3952m, which is also the holy mountain of Taiwanese aborigines Bunun people and Zou people.
玉山是台灣及東北亞最高峰，同時也是原住民布農族及鄒族人的聖山。

We can climb Mount Jade from Tataka, the first day staying in Paiyun Cabin, second day climb up to the peak of Mount Jade, then go back to Tataka.
我們可以從塔塔加開始攀登玉山，第一天住在排雲山莊，第二天登頂玉山再回到塔塔加。

## 鐵路
Alishan was one of the three major logging areas in Taiwan.The Alishan Forestry Railway was originally constructed for logging. With the natural conservation awareness has been gradually emphasized by people, .Nowadays, visitors can take this famous train from Chiayi station.The elevation rises from only 30 meters to over 2000 meters.
阿里山過去是台灣三大林場之一，而阿里山森林鐵路主要是為伐木而建造。隨著自然保育意識抬頭，阿里山今日旅客可搭乘最有名的森林鐵路從嘉義火車站海拔30m一路爬升到超過2000m。
