    # Libertaria I want to revive the Libertaria Initiative. At this moment I think we need to have basically this 5 fundamentals enabled in the final solution: 1. Titania Nodes enabled with the Stack / an app based on flutter and a website hosted on blockchain and github, etc with the interface to use the stack 2. Mercury - The Communication Protocol (which is the underlying DIDcomm protocol to access everything) 3. Themis - DeFi protocols and Contracts/Law, Oracles, Bridges 4. Fides - Reputation based Social Tokens (not important for now, only when we already got rich and have enough leisure to think that one out) 5. Somewhere in between this we need to find the glue, that puts it all into one usable SSI HD Wallet enabled Interface / aka "The Product" and is A) either a blockchain based on lattices, dag, zk B) or a github+p2p DIDcomm like thing ## The Goal of Libertaria In the end I want that people can create DAOs themselves (like managing their Kondominat / Condominiums), they can create Social Societies, or cooperatives - even regular companies, cooperative banks, and responsible foundations (that buy water ressources from Nestle maybe) and that have contracts with this Themis Protocol and nobody can stop them from doing what they do. I want that people can create communities that create their own Insurances and Pension funds, without the government being able to snoop into it or knowing it. I think, if we now, after some years in this space, looking back at this whole thing, the image and the path to this gets a lot clearer now and seems more doable than ever. This is what I want you to look at (from the ideas and technology perspective) and put it all together into a Masterplan. We must distinguish between what we need first, and what later. ## The building blocks ### Blockchain or no Blockchain, that is the question We need to have to look into the new Blockchain kids that do a lot better than the old stars: - https://minaprotocol.com/ <-- MY FAVOURITE for way A) - https://holochain.org/ <-- MY OTHER FAVOURITE for way B) - https://tokens-economy.gitbook.io/consensus/holochain If we go the Mina or the Holo way, defines in the end how our Stack will be build and look like! We need to look into both and their later flexibilities they offer! Then, between those two extremes, we have other nice to mention projects worth looking into: - https://www.onflow.org/ <-- They seem to do NFT+dApps right - https://solana.com/ <-- a scalable blockchain - https://polkadot.network/ <-- a true Ethereum killer (technically speaking) (Not so important, just mentioning here because of Polkadot: We need to look into cross-chain interoperability, so we can let others build on top of us cool things like they do on Polkadot, as for example - Polkastarter - Polkalokr - DeFi: Fire Protocol ### Decentralized Finance & Markets We need definetly a DeFi protocol to create our lending/collateral/banking stuff and here we should look what we can copy/fork integrate, and this is the only one that has it all: - https://fireprotocol.io/ Then we need a commerce protocol to make business and create decentralized marketplaces possible, natively! - https://www.bosonprotocol.io/ - https://particl.io/ ### Scalability Solanana as Layer-1 is fast, maybe Mina would be even faster, but we would still on top of Layer-1 probably a Layer-2 solutions for financial services. Rollups (like ETH 2.0 wants to introduce) have one problem: they only scale linear. But some clever guys figured it out and invented zk-sync, which scales even faster! - https://zksync.io/faq/ on top of our Hydra 2.0 (mina/polka/lettuce/holo whatever) would be awesome! If we go the Blockchain way, then zksync should be the native protocol of Layer-1. Even faster solutions as Layer-2 on top we could then leave to other people to solve for later years to come. ### Consensus - LibreBFT - BFTree (https://medium.com/celohq/bftree-scaling-hotstuff-to-millions-of-validators-7d6930ee046a) - DPoS with Lottery (every node could be a validator based by their merit, uptime, and luck) - Algorand (Hydra version) - Ouroboros ### Security - Quantum-secure (Using trinary, or balanced ternary computations instead of the standard binary computations performed by classical computers) - SHA3 - zero-knowledge and fundament for any kind of transaction ### Filestorage Every SSI Wallet could basically be its own github repo (Holo) or your own blockchain (mina). From time to time you backup this in the cloud, on you phone and on your computer. The backedn doesnt matter so much anymore. I think we just need to have a hook, that could integrate any of them. There is IPFS And then there are cryptocoin-based ones, like - Filecoin - Bittorrent - Storj - Lambda - Arweave - Sia - OPCT We should leave this out and just offer a bridge to them. For example, we could just build a hook or bridge to Coldstack. Coldstack is the Uber of all coin based ones - if you chose Coldstack, then this will take automatically the cheapest or fastest or whatever you want as a backend. ## Way A) or B) A) We take a lattice based minimal chain. Each person creates its own blockchain. the blockchain is Zero-Knowledge based and fast like zk-sync B) BitTorrent + Git + Cryptographic Signatures. Each person creates its own life repository, accessible through a SSI wallet and stores all information in this. The P2P protocol makes all through DIDs and Oracles accessible and timestamped verifiable similar to a blockchain. C) Maybe we can go one step further and find a third way: Every person gets his own minimal blockchain starting with an SSI Wallet, and based on that he has different Personas, that spring-off as github repos with their own blobs, pics, vids, life, social media, etc contents. I would love to forget wife 1 and archive this old persona and everything with it and start a new persona 2 with a new wife. She will never get in danger to see old pics, nothing backfires, but as it is only tombstoned, I could, if necessary, get old documents out of it, if I just dig deep into some of the filecloud offloaded backup storages my wallet pays for regulary deducted from my staking income. I hope you get the idea. ### What we do this time faster and better To wrap it up, we must find out what is a core protocol that we need in the stack (our Job), and then help and enable easy to use hooks (our Job) to plugin to that protocol external libraries (to build DeFi is not our Job at least in the beginning) that enable stuff like Polkastarter (not our Job) ## My hopes Maybe we can revive the Libertaria initiative in a new way and from the beginning invite more developers from other projects, as crypto is now a lot more mainstream and common. We should also invite our old friends again to this project, like Daniel, Andras, Byron, maybe Andor Rajci and some more! Let me know if you like this idea! If so, you are welcome to help, just start writing, sketching, building!
