## Messages
**Dearest volunteers at Hbf,**
for the shift registration, please register via https://volunteer-planner.org/orgs/ukraine-arrival-berlin/hbf-arrival-support from now on :tada:
**Explanation regarding the Change to Volunteer Planner**
https://volunteer-planner.org/orgs/ukraine-arrival-berlin/hbf-arrival-support
As announced above, we hope that the shift registration process can be improved by using the new platform.
On this platform, you can better manage your own shifts (a.k.a changing, reviewing, canceling).
While signing up to volunteer-planner, be aware that your chosen username will be visible to others in association with the shifts you sign up, so when in doubt please choose something that does not identify you directly.
When you go on the link above,
you will find a contact mail and feedback form for anything regarding the registration process.
The diagram for Hbf on https://status.arrivalsupport.berlin will get removed after a short transition phase.
In case you have already registered over the Google Form for future shifts, please kindly re-register them on volunteer planner
Thank you all soo much for your wonderful work over the last weeks! :green_heart:
Kind regards
**Next important steps:**
- **Monitoring**: Does the sign ups decrease? Can not be isolated from new Corona rules (and the fact that we enter week 4 tomorrow).
- Find a way to get data out of volunteer-planner. Most likely: selenium / scraping :weary:
- Integrate into old https://status.arrivalsupport.berlin
-
## Requirements
- **Data Security**: In particular the IDs of volunteers with Russian nationality has to be protected carefully
- **Enabling Self-Organization**: The solution should enable people to do as much on their own as possible, e.g.:
- Identify shifts where they can help
- As a coordinator for a station (or when supporting them), changing the shifts and max numbers of volunteers directly by themselves
- **Check in, check out:** being able to actually know how many briefed volunteers are currently at the Hbf
- **Enable ID check**
- **Contact to volunteers**: collecting mail addresses to send notifications on cancelled shifts, psychological support check-ins, etc
- **Different requirements on volunteers:** E.g. different language skills (at other stations: also something like driving licence, etc)
- **Dashboard/Reports:** easy export of shift overviews for coordinators
- **Being able to adapt number of needed helpers also in the short term**
