# Hardware Security Attacks: application to communication bus of embedded devices

## Abstract
Hardware security becomes a major concern for the development of future IoT devices. In fact, the design of such devices was preliminary guided to meet typical constraints such as power consumption, area, memory footprint. In this presentation, we will focus on hardware security issues targeting communication bus, commonly used in embedded systems. More precisely, two hardware attacks will be presented 1) a man-in-the-middle attack on PCIe bus of a smartphone and 2) Malicious hardware trojan for remote bus leakage.
