## Abstract
Join us for this enlightening seminar, where we bridge the gap between dynamic point cloud acquisition, video-based point cloud compression, and the exciting possibilities of voxelized point cloud datasets. Gain a deeper understanding of volumetric video communications and explore the frontiers of immersive visual experiences.
In the first part of the seminar, we will introduce the current state of our capture system based on Kinects. Discover the intricacies of this system as we delve into the details of dynamic point cloud acquisition. Gain insights into the technology behind capturing high-quality, real-time point cloud data, enabling immersive volumetric video experiences.
Continuing our exploration, we will provide an overview of the V-PCC standard. Learn about the principles and techniques that underpin this cutting-edge compression approach for volumetric video data. Finally, in the last part of the presentation, we will introduce our voxelized point cloud dataset.
