# Office Hours for October 2020

Welcome everyone to today’s Kubernetes Office Hours, where we answer your user questions live on the air with our esteemed panel of experts. You can find us in #office-hours on slack, and check the topic for the URL for the information.

- Before we begin let’s start by introducing ourselves: (Give each panelist about a minute)
- Before we start here are the ground rules:
- This is a Kubernetes event so the Code of Conduct is in effect, please be excellent to each other.
- This is a judgement-free zone, everyone had to start from somewhere so please help out your buddy by having a supportive environment in the channel.
- While we will do our best to answer your questions the panel doesn’t have access to your cluster, so live debugging is off topic, but we will do our best to get you moving down the next step.
- Panelists, you’re encouraged to expand on answers with your experiences and pro-tips.

Question: If you notice a node has moved into a NotReady state for a while and the kubelet has stopped responding (via describing the node), what would be your first troubleshooting steps to investigate? Had this happen recently and ended up terminating the node, but was curious about best practices for troubleshooting this.

What might be the reason to use QOS cgroups and option named --cgroups-per-qos for enforcing Allocatable?

Question: I'm looking for running a service locally against some services in my k8s cluster for debugging purposes. Port forward seems not to be enough as i need to hit lots of endpoints within the cluster network. I've seen Telepresence could be a solution, but it seems a bloated solution.
Have you had a similar issue? How did you tackle it? What was your experience with telepresence?
Anyway, will give it a shot.

### PSA

- Helm Stable/incubator repo shutting down
- November 13th
- Support for this project will formally end, at which point the stable and incubator chart repos will be marked obsolete. At that time these chart repos will likely be garbage collected and no longer available. This git repository will remain as an archive.
