As part of the Open Infrastructure Fund, grantees were each to run the projects over the period of time specified in the grant proposal. However, within project implementation, there are times where project timelines may need to be extended due to either internal or external factors. To ensure that we have adequate contingency plans, IOI has a provision that may allow a project to continue beyond the timeline initiated in the initial grant proposal. However, these extensions will be no-cost extensions and may only be applicable once to a grantee project.
The below are the steps that a grantee should follow in order to get a no-cost extension approved:
* Write to engagement@investment.org if conditions have changed such that revision in the terms of your grant agreement may be needed, please outline the requested revisions and explain the rationale for each.
* The IOI Team will revert back in at most 10 working days with a response to the request
* If approved, work will begin on a contract amendment
* Once the amendment is done and signed from IOI and CS&S, the agreement will be sent to the project grantee for their signature
* Once all signatures have been appended, the no-cost extension will be officially in effect
