v0.46 is ready. Just need to merge documentation first. We can release this week. Let's implement the `generate ts-client` command before the release.

Once the refactor is ready we can make another release, hopefully, before Cosmoverse.

Release by Wednesday or Thursday. Alex M. says is should be enough time. Maybe include the [migration PR](https://github.com/ignite/cli/pull/2792) in this release.

#### cosmoscmd

Lucas: shouldn't be a submodule. Could move cosmoscmd to [ignite/modules](https://github.com/ignite/modules). Ignite modules and utilities (for errors, for example).

Ilker: enable Go workspaces. Keep modules inside the CLI repo.

Update faster Cosmos SDK version if `cosmossdk` is in another repo (in the `modules` repo).

Ilker: Top-level `modules` directory in the `ignite/cli` repo.

Lucas: better to have a separate repo for modules.

~~Can't~~ **Can** use submodules without Go workspaces. Disabled workspaces in Cosmos SDK. More tags to manage: the CLI tag, separate list of tags for each submodule. Takes more time to make a release.

Tom: prefers `ignite/modules` instead of submodules.

#### errors

Chains shouldn't import errors from Cosmos SDK. `ignite/modules` has an [errors package](https://github.com/ignite/modules/tree/ef3a550ac414caf1368c33e05d2118e72ce3d7c6/errors).

Should errors be imported from `ignite/modules` or scaffold in the template.

## Notes

### Code generation

- Vuex client
- Generic TypeScript client

Broadcast transaction, query the chain.

`ignite generate vuex` currently generates both TS and Vuex clients.

We need:

- `ignite generate ts-client`: only TS
- `ignite generate vuex`: TS and Vuex.

Provide a much better API. We generate client for each module you use. If you don't want a client for a certain module, you can exclude it. It's lean right now, but we'd like have a plugin system.

Improvements:

- TS files will be typed properly.
- Less code duplication in the ts-proto generated code.

Ideally we get rid of Vuex altogether in the Vue template.

Replace Vuex with Pinia. Pinia plays well with TS.

Telescope has the same purpose. It requires additional configuration. What's it is missing is the cosmosanalysis part. All the include files and the proto files. Takes a little bit of legwork to get things working.

CLI code gen works by cloning the repo and running `generate ts-client`.

Client allows different type of plugins. Signing module can be a plugin. Right now it's CosmJS, but we can abstract it away in an interface, you could write your own signing plugin.

Once the refactor is complete, we'll sync up with Dan (pyramation).

Add a React frontend option in the future.
