US star Mathew Perry, best known for playing Chandelier Bing in the hit 90sTV sitcom <Friends>, had died at the age of 54. From Los Angelas Times nad TMZ.com, law enforcement resources reported that the American Canadian performer was found dead in a Jacuzzi in his LA home. LA police captain Goth Williams headed the robbery homicide division that is investigating Perry's death said, "the cause of death may not be known for some time but at this point **foul play** is not suspected."
Perry was best known for his role as one of the core cast members in <Friends>, MBC generational sitcom from the 90s. He played Chandelier Bean, a statistical analyst who used sarcasm and one-liners. Friends, a comedy about six professionals living in New York City was a phenomenon, winning multiple *Emmys* and attaining record ratings; after 10 seasons, the 2004 finale reached more than 52 million viewers in the US, making it the most watched TV episode of the 2000s.
But whilst at the height of him fame, Perry was battling with addiction with pain killers and alchohol and attended rehabilitation clinics on multiple occasions. In 2016, he told BBC radio 2 that he couldn't remember 3 years of filming during Friends because of drink and drugs. He was open about his long and public struggle with drugs, writing in the beginning of 2022 million-selling memior:
