## Qualitative interview guide for Noah's Ark
**Introduction**
*Noah’s ark is a project that uses virtual reality technology to enhance pet owners’ experience during flight. Indeed, usually during trips, pets are transported in the hold of the aircraft. As a consequence, it may catch cold, be subjected to stress and thus, be uncomfortably settled. In order to allow them to have a peaceful journey, our VR accessory would enable the pets to see themselves playing in a virtual world with their owners and the owners would be able to see what their animal sees.*
Q1: Do you have a pet ?
Q2: If yes, what kind of pet?
Q3: Do you travel with your animal ?
**General information related to the topic**
*Query the tester with general questions. Talk about his habits.*
Q4: If yes, how often ? If no, why ?
Q5: How do you travel with your animal ?
Q6: What kind of difficulties did you encountered while traveling with a pet ?
**Behavior related to particular issues**
*Ask him to express himself on your application, product or service. Feel free to use the prototype for this part.*
Q7: If you would be able to use virtual reality such as offered by our prototype, what services would expect to have ?
Q8: What don't you like on the prototype presented to you?
Q9: Would it convince you to travel more with your pet ? If yes, what convinced you ? If no, why ?
**Constructive suggestions for improvement**
*Ask him how you could improve your prototype*
Q10: What would you change ?

**Age:** 27 ans
**Occupation:** Project manager
**Context of the meeting (where, with who, etc.):**
I work at the reception of a hotel and met Louise at my work place. I was alone and she came and talked to me, it allowed me to ask her the few questions needed for our project.
**Duration of the meeting:** 15 min
## User scenarios testing
**1st instruction** (this is your first scenario):
You have a two dogs and you would like to go to the Bahamas to take some but have no one to leave your pet to and you want to travel for the first time with them. You found a technology that allow you to play with your pet while sitting in the plane, making both of your trip, much smoother.
**Observations:**
She was surprised that people may want to take their animal for such a long travel, especially with the journey conditions they may have into a place and as well during the whole way.
## Qualitative testing
**Positive feedback:**
- She enjoyed the idea behind the technology.
- She thought that it was cool to use RV technology but maybe for other pursposes such as watching a movie.
---
**Negative feedback:**
- She is not so sure that it is something that could work for animals.
- She is against the transportation of pets for such a long distance.
---
**Learning & insights:**
From that, we've learn that accepting innovation may take time.
---
**Decisions & actions:**
To iterate, we will present the device in an other way, trying to let them free to bring their thought without being biased by our existing idea.

**Observations:**
The first thing she pointed out was the fact that she would not travel far in a plane with her animals.
## Qualitative testing
**Positive feedback:**
- She is expecting a good idea to improve flying experience for pet owners.
---
**Negative feedback:**
- She said that animals did not need such device, because we force them to get into a VR technology that maybe they don't need or want.
---
**Learning & insights:**
From that, we've learn that maybe we could think about something that is more related to enhance their comfort instead of allowing them to live a VR experience.
---
**Decisions & actions:**
To iterate, we will think about a way that allow our technology to provide actual comfort.

## Qualitative testing
**Positive feedback:**
- She suggested to create a cage with different design and maybe playing with VR but also with their senses. For example, allowing them to also smell food or perfume that they might see in the VR
---
**Learning & insights:**
From that, we've learn that improvement can be done to the technology to make it even more real.
---
**Decisions & actions:**
To iterate, we will for now concentrate on the VR project and then we will consired adding this technology of recognizing odors if possible.
