## App Idea 1: My Magic Guide for Disney World
**What:** My Guide for Disney World is an app designed to help individuals discover and explore Disney World by displaying all attraction, entertainment, dining, and shop locations in a list that is easy to filter, sort, and search. It allows users to set favorites so they can easily see a list of everything they want to experience. It will also show live wait time data for experiences that have the data available.
**Who:** The app is targeted at individuals who want an easy way to see and plan Disney World's offerings and not deal with all the bloat that comes with the official app.
**Why:** The official Disney World app has lots of features but it feels bloated and clunky to use. When I use the app it's usually just to view things the park has to offer, which is not a great experience. There's also no way to favorite things in the official app. This app will solve these problems by being simpler and more focused on these core features.
**Challenges:** Potential challenges include using Disney's undocumented API and sorting and filtering large amounts of data.
## App Idea 2: Gaming Cosmetics Catalog
**What:** Gaming Cosmetics Catalog offers a full catalog of cosmetics for popular games like Fortnite, Overwatch, and Valorant. This app shows real-time updates on skins, emotes, and other in-game items, helping players stay on top of the latest releases and plan their in-game purchases effortlessly. It also allows players to mark off items that they've purchased.
**Who:** This app is targeted at gamers who are fans of in-game cosmetics and tend to have large collections.
**Why:** This app not only promotes a sense of accomplishment for players but also serves as a valuable resource for the gaming community since players can easily keep track of their collections, plan future purchases, and stay engaged with their games.
**Challenges:** The biggest challenge will be to sort out some the public API's from certain gaming franchises.
## App Idea 3: Recipe Finder
**What:** Recipe Finder allows users to narrow down their search for certain recipes using different specifications such as type of course, intolerance, diet, cuisine, etc. The user is able to sift through various recipes with the restrictions or requirements they need. Shows the user a picture of the meal, the ingredient list, and the steps for preparation.
**Who:** This app is great for many people. Those who want to find healthier recipes, those who have food allergies and have to take out certain ingredients, those who are new to the kitchen and aren't good cooks, those who want to find new things to try.
**Why:** This app allows users to create something new, something they themselves created and can feel proud of and have a full stomach afterwards. This app will be more organized and helpfull than searching through articles of different recipes to see which one fits best for what you want.
**Challenges:** One challenge will have be sorting the recipes so that the correct recipe with the different specifications that user needs are found.
## App Idea 4: Add-VPN
**What:**
The app is a VPN service that provides users with secure and private access to the internet. The unique aspect of this app is its ad-based model, where users gain a certain amount of VPN service time in exchange for viewing ads.
**Who:**
This app is for anyone who values their online privacy and security, particularly those who frequently use public Wi-Fi networks or access geo-restricted content. It’s also ideal for users who don’t mind viewing ads in exchange for free services.
**Why:**
We are building this app to offer a unique solution in the VPN market. While many VPN services require a subscription, this app allows users to access the service for free, simply by viewing ads. This model can make secure internet access more accessible to those who may not be able to afford a traditional VPN service.
**Challenges:**
Some potential challenges include ensuring a sufficient number of advertisers to support the free model, maintaining the balance between the number of ads and user experience, and ensuring robust security and privacy features that stand up against paid competitors. Additionally, gaining user trust and differentiating from other free VPN services will be crucial.
## App Idea 5: HomeFix
**What:**
HomeFix is a DIY home improvement assistant app, offering tutorials, material calculators, and a platform to consult with experienced DIYers and professionals.
**Who:**
This app is for homeowners, creative individuals, or renters wanting to make improvements or repairs to their living spaces without hiring professionals.
**Why:**
Home maintenance can be daunting, expensive, and time-consuming. HomeFix empowers individuals with knowledge, helping save money, and ensuring tasks are done correctly and safely.
**Challenges:**
The main challenge is creating a vast library of reliable, high-quality content and a system to verify the expertise of consultants. The USP is the on-demand DIY support system and community, reducing reliance on expensive professional services.
