# **AT&T email Forgot Password**
If you recently changed the password for your [AT&T](https://vocal.media/stories/how-to-recover-att-email-account) User ID, try to sign in to your email using that new password. If that doesn’t work, reset your password:

* Go to AT&T.
* Select Forgot Password?
* Complete the password info.
* Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts.
* If you choose temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.
* Create your new password.

**Reset your ATT email password with security questions**
Follow these steps to reset your password by answering your security questions.

If you don’t remember them, you can update your security questions and answers. You can also follow the next set of instructions to reset with a temporary password.

* Visit the Forgot Password page.
* Select Password.
* Enter your full AT&T email address and your last name.
* Select Continue.
* From the drop-down menu, select I'll answer my security questions.
* Answer the security questions that you set for your account.
* Select Continue.
* Follow the prompts to create your new password.

Once successful, you’ll receive confirmation that your password has been reset. It may take up to five minutes for the new password to take effect.
