[LiveStream] FIS Nordic Combined World Cup Seefeld 2023 Live TV Broadcast

The World Cup circuit continues this weekend for USA Nordic, with athletes competing from January 26-29. Both Men’s and Women’s Nordic Combined will be in Seefeld, Austria, with the men competing in three World Cup events and the women competing in two.

Men’s Nordic Combined Preview
Prior to traveling to Seefeld, Austria, Ben Loomis, Jared Shumate and Stephen Schumann competed last weekend at two World Cup events in Klingenthal, Germany. During the HS140/10km World Cup, Schumann placed 37th, Loomis was right behind in 38th, and Shumate finished 43rd overall. The final event of the weekend was a Mass Start HS140/10km World Cup on January 22nd. In the Mass Start, Schumann had the best finish of the day for USA Nordic, as he placed 12th overall with a total time of 28:59.3. Shumate placed 43rd during the Mass Start (30:47.0 total time), and Loomis finished the race 49th overall (31:14.4 total time). On the hill, Schumann jumped to 108.5 meters, finishing the day 37th overall with 73.0 points. Loomis followed in 41st (118.0 meters, 67.3 points), with Shumate in 49th (115.5 meters, 55.5 points). Women’s Nordic Combined Preview
Annika Malacinski will be the sole Women’s Nordic Combined athlete that will represent USA Nordic at the World Cup events in Seefeld, Austria. Malacinski last competed in early January at two World Cups in Otepaa, Estonia. The weekend kicked-off in Otepaa, Estonia, with the Mixed Team HS97/4x5km World Cup on January 6th. Starting off on the hill, Alexa Brabec (71.0 meters, 68.3 points), Ben Loomis (88.5 meters, 108.6 points), Stephen Schumann (80.5 meters, 88.4 points) and Annika Malacinski (71.0 meters, 67.6 points), landed themselves in 8th place to start the 4x5km race. During the 4x5km race, Brabec, Loomis, Schumann and Malacinski, were able to place 8th overall, +3:46.6 back from first place. Competition in Otepaa wrapped up on January 8th, with the HS97/5km World Cup. Malacinski jumped her way to 25th overall, going 71.0 meters for a total of 63.2 points.
