**InternatioNouns - retro and 3 month experiment** **⌐◧-◧ TL;DR:** We want to keep gathering builders, experienced and new, from around the world and making them feel at home. internatioNouns is requesting XXXETH in funding for three months, which will allow internatioNouns to continue to support non-English Speaking builders to onboard more people to Nouns via web, twitter, TNS Shows, discord, contests, and community rewards. Builders and onboarders congregate and share notes in our discord as well as on the show. We also want to expand into supporting groups to get IRL meetups and Welcome to the Nouninverse groups going! But, we actually see it more like a family. We have our show every Friday, where builders like mono from NounsDAOAmigos and Mizukigreen from NounsDAOJapan take the stage to tell us the latest news about Nounish projects in their communities. In addition to these reports, we invite regional and language groups who are just starting up, to join us for a few weeks as they get setup, and we run art, food, and trait contests for them (filipiNous, nounsDAOAfrica). We provide one-on-one prop and cultural support for onboarders. Great things happen in our discord! We all want to see more proliferation and more people introduced to Nouns. As the ecosystem continues to grow, we want to make sure that everyone can join in the fun, no matter where they call home. There are 8 billion people in the world and approximately 1.5 billion people speak English. Our desire is to begin to unlock the potential of the other 6.5 billion by translating and proving support in the most spoken languages across the globe. We also have an Apple Master, who assigns apples for adding things for the website, such as Nounish Art Contests, Nounish twitter spaces (other than TNS which are automatically added), OTG event info, translating tweets, and tagging us on twitter with relevant information. We will return to a themed contest every week in March, like the African Traits and the FilipiNouns - and we have distributed more than 3.8 ETH + NFTs in prizes. We especially love the discord stickers, which bring nouish seasonal joy to our community! Take a look! **Twitter** We have a weekly show on TNS where our world wide crew of builders talk about what is happening in their part of the ecosystem, and take questions from the audience. It is a great platform for people who are just getting used to talking in space, much less doing so in English. Our show is open for anyone to speak, which provides a great feeling of community. And, we are often able to translate into 5 languages on any given show! We have special guests from time to time, such as B from NounsDAOBr, WideEyeKarl from NounsInSg, and UNouns. On our twitter account, we post a weekly list of spaces, some of which are not in English, and we are working hard to support builders to do shows in other languages. If someone sends a message in a Japanese channel, the message will be translated automatically to all other languages channels. We have received only 6.2 ETH (2.2 ETH from NSFW and 4 ETH from Nouns Prop House) and most of it went for prizes. The website hosting, translation costs, and plug in costs have been absorbed by xargs, in addition to a bunch of NFTs that she donated to our prize pool. Our team has literally grown to over 20 people who help spread the word, speak on twitter spaces to promote international props and projects, translate tweets, update the website, help folks in discord, and work one on one with people who are onboarding with English as a second language. Just think about what we can with a budget, right? **What if funded?** --- First of all, we'll keep what is working at it's best. The perfect combo of a show + a contest every week. Actually we'll improve our shows with retweet pickers and POAPs, attracting and onboarding more people to the community. And, we will start a second weekly show so that both hemispheres are covered at reasonable times. But we also want to bring new ideas to the table, such as: - Weekly newsletter with the latest news shared by the builders in every show - Weekly IRL gathering funded by us so international communities can meetup, celebrate life and bring more people to the Nouns party! - Weekly calls in the Discord server to discuss the project itself - Improvements on the website! Perhaps such things as "pin your city", and an art gallery for the contest entries! We are asking XXXeth. XXXeth each would go to x winners who provided design drafts. They will receive another XXXeth once they have built the drafts into a Nounish cc0 WP theme and uploaded it to github publically. Next, we will choose one of those, and give xxxeth to the team to install it on our website and handle customizations. **Team RetroFunding** We are also asking for retrofunding. xxxeth for our team and xxxeth for our community. **Community Rewards** We would like to reward our very active discord and twitter communities for keeping things active and interesting, translating tweets, etc. **Ongoing Costs** -- **Teams** --- Our core team members are extremely dedicated and two of us work daily on the project. Our team has not received any payment since a disbursement in late 2022 for retro up to Oct 15th, which covered back to August, and the most highly paid only received a little over 0.5eth in that round. Almost everything since has been voluntary, out of pocket, or a prop for specific project. TNS does not provide financial support to any soapbox or reward any team member for running soapboxes. To allow team members to grow and change, none of our team members are asking for a regular payment. Instead, we would like to experiment by having a budget allocated for each team, and each team will have retro rounds. This ensures that the more visible teams don't end up with all of the rewards. And, those allocating are familiar with the work that the others do. We are seeking more people so that all of the work does not continue to fall on the same people, and to promote onboarding and growth. **Admin Team** xargs, san, jp, houseofdrey **Discord Team** xargs (admin), akva (communiy building and moderation), houseofdrey and gulamanyow (various roles) **Website Team** - xargs manages the VPS, the website infrastructure and scheduling tools, importation of nounish newsletters - Santhosh manages all of the data in the calendar/map. - Guiriba will be writing articles and adding various new things to the website. - coordination with community liasion team to make sure that our IRL Map, Nounish Art Contests, and **Tweeter Operations Team** danimim.eth, jp, xargs, santhosh - a daily post with a screenshot of Nouniverse events for the day with tags on pertinant twitter accounts. threadded with twitter space reminder embeds where doable. - a daily thread with current auction prices for Nounish DAO Tokens - coordination with the Community Liaisons to make sure we are getting important Nounish news out in other languages and international goings on into English. **Show Hosting Team** mono, jp, davin, xargs, akva, mizukigreen, These are the folks who have been and/or are moving into position to co-host some of the twitter shows. **Community Liaison Team** These people speak on our twitter spaces when there are nounish happenings in their area, help us keep the website data up to date, and help with translations in twitter and beyond. Some groups always have stuff going on, some only join us when they have props up or, are deploying a prop. The pool of funds for this team will be distributed based on their activity. They are listed below. Community Liasons are currently regional. However, we would like to expand to where we have liasions with other Nounish communities, such as Lil Nouns and Gnars. Community Rewards (apples) Art Contest Prizes Meetups Twitter Picker Prizes POAP Art Admin Costs Admin costs include minting, gas for multisig transactions, web hosting, translation services, google map api, web plugins, discord nitro, bots etc. This also includes translation costs, which increase with activity, so the more we see here, the better we are doing! Team members have been covering these expenses and we would like to see that change. These services and plugins are also used for The Noun Square (who do not have a website budget), and several smaller nounish projects. We will be using a debit card in the future to track fiat expenses. We have moved away from deepL translation to gTranslate, which is much less expensive.
