# How to layout images in Word a little bit better
In word putting images is a nuance, so I did this tutorial to teach a bit about it.
In word, when you press `ENTER` you're creating a new paragraph.
When you paste an image in word (from your phone, from the screencapture, etc) is set by default as an `inline`
So if you write "I'm creating an ommelette" and you paste the first image that you find without copyright you can find you will get something like this:

## How to do it with spaces
What I usually do if I can just go with the structure the text with
paragraph
+
image
+
paragraph
I'll opt for this option. The idea is to give space to the images to fit.
So first I write the text and I leave a paragraph for the image

Then I paste the image in the blank paragraph

## How to do it with text boxes
If I need to do something a little bit more fancier when I have a image in on side and/or with saying "figure 2" I'd use text boxes.
Let's suposse that I already have my text in place (I used [cat ipsum](http://www.catipsum.com/index.php))

To do that we need to go to "Insert" tab

And select Text box

Then go to the simplest one

It will create something in the middle of your kitty text like this

Put it in their place by dragging it

### Make it without the border
If we don't want the border we can take out in these options

And it will look like this

### Paste the image
Now inside the text box we paste the image that we want and then we can write figure 1 or whatever we need

Enjoy!
