Group session: quantifying texts

In your group choose an example of a data visualization, graph, network, list that you compiled, explored or that was used in the workshop and consider the following questions:

  • what is the usefulenss of quantifying/visualizing the text? Did it add something new to how you see the text from your disciplinary perspective?

  • did you see anything unusual, interesting, exciting in the data visualization that you would like to share?

  • did you find anything problemating or puzzling about the visualization or the tools and interfaces available to explore it?

  • are you able to identify any real-life applications and scenarios where you could use such analysis tools in your teaching or research? What would discourage you from doing so?

If possible, upload an image of your example here ot use a screen capture tool to copy paste it.
