## Meeting 23.6
Attending: Ding, Jitka, Stephan, Samantha
Apologies: Radovan, Kristoffer, Enrico
### Introductions
Jitka: library and RDM, not coder, wants to support CR
Ding: biosustain data steward, hosted local CR event some years ago, coding experience, using GitHub, wants to do more , is already a CR ambassador
Stephan: CHC Århus, with CR 2-3 years, will stay involved but new person is on process of being hired at CHC
Samantha: CSC, training development and coordination, CR project manager
### DeIC contact in CR?
- "it's complicated", runs currently via CHC
> DeIC: all unis own DeIC, DeIC is doing what unis need,
currently does not have a management
### Next workshop dates
- Week 1 "as usual" 9+10+11/September 11:00-13:00 + 14:00-15:30 (Oslo CEST times)
- Week 2 spread over 6 weeks with exercises added back : 17.9+24.9+1.10+8.10+15.10 + 22.10; times to be decided
### Learning together
Bring your own classroom: "someone" invites random researchers/students to watch the workshop and do exercises together
-> blog: https://coderefinery.org/blog/bring-your-own-classroom/
Local classrooms will be listed on workshop event page, example from last workshop: https://coderefinery.github.io/2025-03-25-workshop/#local-exercise-groups
Registration can be however you prefer:
- Own registration from beginning
- You ask people to register via general CodeRefinery registration and we forward DTU/Danish participants
Bring your own team: Someone who knows the topics of the workshop well invites colleagues or own research group to watch the workshop and do exercises together
We connected the dots with Jakob from DTU -> Samantha sends connecting e-mail :white_check_mark:
### Credits
Instructions from last workshop: https://coderefinery.github.io/2025-03-25-workshop/certificates/
- PhD students need certificate of attendanche: apply themselves with own prof
- It would be helpful to map hours for full workshop to ECTS -> approximated to 1 ECTS based on workload for 6 half day workshop
- Can Enrico provide certificate for all also this year? -> Samantha finds out
### Connections
- Ding has connection to Danish reproducibility network (mostly at KU, Copenhagen)
- Data stewards: plan to make the materials more approachable for non-tech people who might not need the tools themselves but may want to know what its about to support researchers
- Data science platform in Dings department: host own git workshop, many people deep into git
-> could be combined, maybe people who did that workshop can skip day 1 of CodeRefinery?
### Where to go from here
- Connect to Jakob at DTU
- Decide on room location and if week 1 only or all sessions, registration process
- Keep everyone in loop, reach out if there are questions
- CodeRefinery will announce workshop asap and will provide helper/host onboarding
