# uBlue's Nvidia images are now 1.0
### Welcome new users!
Today we're putting a 1.0 stamp on the uBlue Nvidia images. These are images of Fedora Silverblue (GNOME), Kinoite (KDE), Vauxite (XFCE), Sericea (Sway), LXQt, and MATE.
- [Find them here](https://github.com/ublue-os/nvidia)
(ISOs will be coming later, see below)
## What is this?
Over the past few years, Fedora CoreOS has been working on [making OCI containers](https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/OstreeNativeContainerStable) the primary mechanism for delivering image-based updates to clients.
## So seriously what actually is this?
We've slipstreamed the Nvidia drivers right onto the operating system image.
Steps that once took place on your local laptop are now done in a continuous integration system in GitHub.
Once they are complete, the system stamps out an image which then makes it's way to your PC.
No more building drivers on your laptop, dealing with signing, akmods, third party repo conflicts, or any of that. We've fully automated it so that if there's an issue, we fix it in GitHub, _for everyone_.
But it's not just installation and configuration: We provide Nvidia driver versions 525, 520, and 470 for each of these.
You can _atomically_ switch between any of these, so if your driver worked perfectly on a certain day and you find a regression you just rebase to that image.
Or switch to another desktop entirely.
No other desktop Linux does this, and we're just getting started.
## Where's the ISO?
Fedora is adding custom image support to the Anaconda installer, we will soon be able to generate ISO images of every single one of these that you can install and use. For now you're going to need to install [Fedora Silverblue](https://silverblue.fedoraproject.org/) or [Fedora Kinoite](https://kinoite.fedoraproject.org/).
Follow [the directions](https://github.com/ublue-os/nvidia) to rebase to one of these images, reboot, and you're done! Don't like the one you picked? Pick another one, you can't frankendebian yourself.
That world is over, welcome to the future!
## Don't have Nvidia?
Check out our [main images](https://github.com/ublue-os/main) if you have an AMD or Intel GPU.
All of our images include expanded hardware support with included udev rules and all the codecs you need.
## The Speed of Cloud Development just hit your Linux Desktop
This implementation went from idea to what we have today in about 48 days.
There's plenty of work to do on this newly terraformed planet, we're getting to work and looking for explorers who are ready to make the a better desktop for all of us:
Check out [ublue.it](https://ublue.it) for more and [join our Discord](https://discord.gg/WEu6BdFEtp). Specifically we need more hands on deck in these areas:
- Devops folks familiar with CI/CD
- Documentation and Copy Editors
- (Who are we kidding, we need everything, come hang out)
Thanks to everyone who has been helping out so far, if anything we're proving the model not only works, but can provide something we've not yet seen before! Use this forum to give us feedback and ideas, give it a whirl!
