Hello Fellows, I am Adrian Catangiu ([GitHub: @acatangiu](https://github.com/acatangiu)), and I've been contributing to Polkadot for a couple of years now. Most of my contributions have been blockchain bridges related, from within the Parity Bridges team. This year, however, I've pivoted to various other priority topics such as XCM development and cross-chain asset transfers machinery. Over the years, I've delivered a number of important Polkadot components, as well as improving others, with high focus on quality and testing. I've worked on implementing BEEFY and MMR pallets and gadgets which are prerequisites critical components of a Polkadot<>Ethereum bridge, and to Polkadot's "light-client only" future. Implemented BEEFY consensus, going from research PoC to fully functional node & runtime consensus components, currently being deployed on Kusama & Polkadot. Highlighted BEEFY-related PRs: [1](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/pull/10882), [2](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/pull/11821), [3](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/pull/11959), [4](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/pull/12124), [5](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/pull/12428), [6](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/pull/12712), [7](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/pull/12760), [8](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/pull/13121), [9](https://github.com/paritytech/polkadot/pull/5855), [10](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/pull/13215), [11](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/pull/13285), [12](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/pull/13606), [13](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/pull/13881). Redesigned MMR pallet implementation to allow using offchain storage, highlighted MMR-related PRs: [1](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/pull/11594), [2](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/pull/12498), [3](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/pull/11406), [4](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/pull/12822). The other main focus of mine was the development (and impending launch) of the Polkadot<>Kusama bridge, where I mostly did design, overview and review work, but where I can also highlight some personal PRs: [1](https://github.com/paritytech/polkadot-sdk/pull/1215), [2](https://github.com/paritytech/cumulus/pull/2578), [3](https://github.com/paritytech/polkadot/pull/6923), [4](https://github.com/paritytech/polkadot-sdk/pull/2204), [5](https://github.com/paritytech/polkadot-sdk/pull/2251). Lately I've also been focusing on XCM in general and especially on cross-chain asset transfers, specifically more complex scenarios involving multiple chains and multiple assets with multiple reserves. Highlights of the new functionality I added, alongside the many many new (complex) tests I added: [1](https://github.com/paritytech/polkadot-sdk/pull/1672), [2](https://github.com/paritytech/polkadot-sdk/pull/2488), [3](https://github.com/paritytech/polkadot-sdk/pull/2388). Considering the above, I would like to apply for Rank 2. I am committed to the Polkadot mission and being part of the Polkadot Fellowship would be an honor and a responsibility I am eager to accept. Thank you, Adrian. My Polkadot address is: `121dd6J26VUnBZ8BqLGjANWkEAXSb9mWq1SB7LsS9QNTGFvz`. GitHub: https://github.com/acatangiu
