    # "Why MetaFactory" -- MF Proposal Document MetaFactory Proposal Document Prepared for: COMMUNITY NAME I. What is MetaFactory? MetaFactory is a community owned and operated “digiphysical culture factory and marketplace” who works with select partners in a collaborative fashion in order to create branded merchandise that spans across both the physical and digital worlds. The branded fashion we create and design comes in both physical and digital forms -- whatever is created physically, a digital NFT replica of that item is also created that can be used as an “avatar wearable” across any digital metaverse. Everything we create is done so on a limited edition basis, either by capping the total number of items at a fixed quantity, or by only offering a particular item for sale during a designated period of time. II. Why is the work we are doing important to the future of the Metaverse? The team behind MetaFactory is a group of like minded individuals who believe that the future of the metaverse ought to be shaped in an open and collaborative manner by the community, in a decentralized fashion. We believe that concentrated and centralized powers such as Facebook represent an existential threat to the future of the open metaverse, and embody the antithesis of what we in the crypto space are collectively working to create. Centralized powers who have been watching us and others in the crypto teamwork away from our community, and shift everything into a paradigm that they define and control. They are doing this under false pretenses, virulently pretending that their intentions mirror ours, while in reality they are trying to hijack the principles we operate under -- “open source philosophy and protocol” -- and trick the general populous into thinking that they too are operating with these doctrines as the foundation of their intentions. Their quest is to own everything in both the physical and digital world, for their own benefit and power. Our quest is to make sure that power is never concentrated into the hands of a few; rather, that it is distributed, decentralized, and equally accessible and beneficial to all. Our work -- and the work of other groups who are whole heartedly dedicated to the philosophy Satoshi Nakamoto injected into the world -- is important to preserve the decentralized and open future of the metaverse. Should centralized, vermin-like entities with nearly unlimited resources like Facebook win this fight, the potential future of a truly decentralized metaverse seems bleak and dangerous -- they are a significant threat to a healthy and natural evolution of humanity in our attempt to realize our telos, which I would define as "enlightened awareness and connection." We are but a small group of individuals, whose resources are literally nothing compared to what Facebook and other corporate titans have. This is truly a story of David vs. Goliath where the fate of the metaverse hangs in the balance; David would be the community of which we are a part, laboring to create an open metaverse, whereas Goliath would be the corporate titans attempting to steal our cause and deceive the masses as to their intentions. III. Why work with MetaFactory? The first reason to work with us is that we create some really dope stuff. The merchandise we make offers customers a very unique and interesting benefit that is equally appealing to people who both are familiar and unfamiliar with the world of cryptocurrency. When your (our) customers purchase through MetaFactory, the shopping process is similar to any other online shopping experience. The only difference is that at checkout, the customer is asked to provide an Ethereum address where they will be able to claim a 42% rebate of their purchase value in the governance token of MetaFactory, $ROBOT. So if a customer purchases $100 in merchandise through MetaFactory, they will be able to claim $42 in $ROBOT which, if hodl’d properly, will eventually exceed the total value of their purchase value. The second reason to work with us is that by doing so, you join our fight: the struggle to preserve the future of the metaverse as a decentralized place of creativity and beauty against the corporate behemoths who seek to violate the sanctuary we have made with the taint of their nefarious, investor-driven interests. Essentially, you joining us will bolster us against the forces who would seek to commandeer the open metaverse and make it their own. Ultimately, by working with MetaFactory, your organization or community obtains the benefits of tapping into a fully-functional and finely tuned supply chain operation -- at no cost and with no effort. From a financial and logistical point of view, there is no draw-back in this scenario for your community. You simply plug into our existing infrastructure and obtain the benefits we provide to you without any sort of investment or financial commitment to us. We give you all of these things at no cost simply for joining us and lending your name to our cause. IV. How does the process work? When a new community or organization engages with MetaFactory, the most important thing to understand is that forming a work agreement with us requires no investment or financial commitment from your community to MetaFactory. We ask you for nothing (financially) and seek to give you the full benefit of the supply chain infrastructure that we have developed. The only questions we will ask you are the following: (a.) what kind of merchandise would you like to create? Any typical piece of merchandise, we can create -- sneakers, hoodies, shirts, socks, etc. What is created is entirely up to you. Typically, the end cost of an item will be 3x the cost MetaFactory will incur to produce and distribute that merchandise. (b.) Would you like to provide art for us to incorporate into the merchandise, or would you like us to create a new design? Whether or not you provide art/logos/designs and offer us “creative guidance” for the end product, or if you give us a blank slate and tell us to come up with something original, the end product will be dope and will not require your community to pay MetaFactory for anything. (c.) On what basis would you like to sell the merchandise we will create? That is, would you like to set a fixed number of each piece that is to be created, or would you like to offer each item for sale in a specified window of time? Either way you choose, the merchandise will be limited edition and will offer your community unique benefits that cannot be found elsewhere. Once these initial questions are answered, MetaFactory will provide you with a timeline, then begin our work while you sit back and continue about your business as we utilize our infrastructure to go about creating “digiphysical” goods for you to offer to your customers and/or fans. Upon engaging with MetaFactory, your community will have a dedicated “point person” within MetaFactory that will coordinate all efforts between your group and MetaFactory. This person will be readily available to answer all questions, concerns, etc -- they will be available to you at all times other than when they are asleep :) V. What are the expectations of MetaFactory in working with new partners? MetaFactory will pay for any and all expenses in the design, production, and distribution of your merchandise. Your community/organization will not pay anything in any step in our supply chain process. MetaFactory will be responsible for the artistic direction your merchandise will embody. That responsibility will be undertaken with your input, and you are welcome to provide logo’s, designs, art, etc. -- or it will be assumed without your input, only if you give us “carte blanche” on creating your merchandise. MetaFactory will be expected to provide your community or organization a clear, well-defined timetable for deliverables, and will be expected to meet the timeline that we provide to you. All revenue raised in USD from the sale of merchandise will be received and retained by the LLC that represents MetaFactory. This does not mean that the partners who collaborate with MetaFactory will receive nothing (financially) -- in fact, they will receive considerable financial benefits for simply providing us with direction and letting us do our work. This will be laid out in more detail in Section VII of this document. VI. What are the expectations of the partners who are working with MetaFactory? We expect our partners to share our mindset -- that is, we must undertake any and all efforts that can be made to preserve an open and free metaverse from the corporate forces who seek to bring the blight of corporate interest into the world of decentralized creativity and vibrance that we have created. We expect our partners to provide either: logos to be incorporated into the merchandise, designs for the merchandise, or to give us the flexibility to design art as we see fit for your project (which you will be expected to approve/offer input on). Your community will be welcome to provide any level of artistic direction/guidance -- from highly specified to vague and general. Some basic form of input is expected, and you are welcome to make that as specific or unspecific as you desire. VII. What benefits will MetaFactory partners receive? Given that MetaFactory will pay for all expenses of production and distribution of merchandise, we will retain all money (in USD) raised from sales of merchandise. However, we offer our partners very generous financial incentives in the form of our governance token, $ROBOT. For every dollar in revenue (not profit), 0.0125 $ROBOT will be dispersed to those involved in the project. 70% of that disbursement will be given to our collaboration partners, your community. The remaining 30% will be split between various work groups within MetaFactory. Over time, as MetaFactory reaches certain sales milestones, this amount of $ROBOT per dollar in revenue will decrease. The current rate is what is stated in this paragraph. As an example: let’s say a MetaFactory partner creates a hoodie that is sold for $150 each, and there are a total of 300 hoodies to sell. Selling 350 hoodies at $150 each will raise $52,500 in revenue. Our partner who has created this hoodie with us will receive 70% of the 656.25 Robot tokens that would be disbursed as a result of this work, currently valued at ~$45,937.50 (current value calculated based on approximate value of $100 per $ROBOT). This offers our partners significant value and incentive to work with us, especially when considering that we expect the value of $ROBOT token to continually increase over time, as our operations grow, and as we begin to market ourselves to the crypto community (currently we do very little marketing). Our partners are free to do with their $ROBOT payout as they please. They can utilize it to participate in our community and make decisions in the governance of our platform, or they can sell it for Ethereum or any other digital asset they find desirable. We encourage our partners to utilize at least part of their $ROBOT holdings to take part in the governance of our community and participate in future decision making MetaFactory will contemplate, but you will be at liberty to act as you choose. Our partners will receive this payout in $ROBOT distributions based on 6 to 8 week sales cycles and how much revenue is generated during those cycles. This will be clearly defined in the timetable MetaFactory will provide our partners. What benefits will MetaFactory customers receive? MetaFactory customers receive three benefits: 1. Dope merchandise 2. Digital NFT replicas of that merchandise that be used as avatar wearables across any virtual metaverse or sold on OpenSea 3. Participating in and contributing to the fight against nefarious and vile corporate entities seeking to hijack the open source philosophy upon which we have built our communities and pervert it into a purpose that serves the corporate elite, while deceiving the public as to their aspirations.
