You know that inspirational quote: "It's not the destination, it's the journey"? While the finished product is a reductio ad absurdum of a real Twitter app, the process along the way is what I want you to focus on. That is, building on-chain logic on a blockchain using smart contracts is relatively simple, and is a general purpose technology. My hope is that it helps cut through the hype and speculation, and shows you how the components work, so you can re-apply them to new use-cases. Is this tutorial for me? I had two choices when writing this: either start from a finished demo and explain how it works, or bring you along as I create the app from scratch and iterate over it and add complexity bit by bit.
