# 1st IDEA H24 Wildfire Detection: observing drones

*BY WHO ?* We are a wildfire detection company. We aim to develop and improve the systems and processes of Wildfire detection for families. Our objective is to establish a national wildfire detection company.
*FOR WHOM ? *Our target demographic are adults and elderly people that live in rural regions that suffer from annual and seasonal wildfires (ex: California).
*WITH WHOM ?* Drones companies, fireman, police, data platfrom for real-time photos.
**Context:**
*WHY ?* Time is a critical factors for preventing wildfires. Most of the time, dramatic situations happens because people does not have enough time to evacuate because they were aware about the fire way too late.

*WHEN ?* This service is 24h active, people can control and monitor it through the application whenever they want
*WHERE?* The service covers a specific rural area

*WHAT ?* Prevent wildfire, reduce damage, allow people to have enough time to evacuate.
*HOW ?* Through the system of two drones with photocameras and videocameras, linked to an application: people can monitor in every moment the wildfire situation near their houses through the app and they can react in time.
## 2nd IDEA: Wildfire Detection: A sensor-based network & Alert

*BY WHO?* A technology company that develop an embedded GPS network system for Wildfire detection.
*FOR WHOM?* Families who live in rural area where wildfire is a threat to them.
*WITH WHOM?* GPS company, drone comapny, security companies partnered with the neighborhood.
**Context**
*WHY? *It is important for families to know the danger level and how close to the danger they are to let them escape as fast as they can.
WHEN? 24h,the system will alert the families who have registered to the network immediately.
WHERE? Northern California
**Features**
*WHAT?* The network system will (ask or allow) families to register their property and location to the network which will verify their GPS location potentially through (Wifi or embedded tracking systems which can be manually installed and activated on their land). This will provide families with the security (much like a firewall) to ensure they are notified (by mobile or an alarm system) when a Wildfire is detected in their region and spreading to their location as a high threat level.
*HOW? *The network and GPS system will employ both the IoT, satellite and drone technologies to monitor wildfires at an early stage, before they exacerbate and grow out of control.The Satellites and bespoke software will be used to pinpoint potentially dangerous fires through drones equipped with special infrared cameras (thermal mapping) which are mobilized to track the fire’s progress. If it becomes a major threat, the system will alert it's network of locations (families) via their mobile devices.

**Context:**
*WHY ? *Sometimes, it is not possible to avoid fire coming to your house. So, it is important to anticipate the problem. If you arrive to anticipate what is going to happen, you may reduce the impact of the damage.
*WHEN ?* Whenever the app receive the notification, all the connected devices that can increase the intensity of the fire will be desactivated (block gaz...) and all devices that can reduce the intensity of the fire will be activated (water...).

*WHAT ? *Reduce the damage caused by a wildfire. Have a positive impact on something that we do not control. Reduce the losses.
*HOW ?* The app will receive notications from website checking at wildfire. If the fire is near the house, the app will send a message to all the people living in the house, to prevent them (so they can adapt themselves to the situations). At the same time, the app will desactivate connected devices that can be a threat and activate the one that can help reducing the fire intensity. The household can also desactivate/activate manually.
