- OSMF membership allows you to vote
- There are two types of membership, Associate and Normal membership, your name will be listed on the members list, this allows you to vote and also self nominate to stand for being a board member
- For normal membership there are two options, paid membership (15 Euros) or active contribute membership which is free.

As of 16 January 2024, there are a total of 1,929 members of OSMF. The regional distribution is as follows:
