The racing line is quite narrow at places which can be both frustrating and rewarding. I quite like the uphill platform corner, and the wallgrind is something you usually don't see. The signage could be better at times; some signs are a bit misleading unfortunately. ### t a l e n t [MTC] • ziyx | | | | | --- | --: | --- | | **Theme** | 15 | `5 + 4 + 3 + 3` | | **Creativity** | 9 | `4 + 2 + 2 + 1` | | **Fun** | 7 | `4 + 2 + 0 + 1` | | **Detail** | 8 | `5 + 2 + 1` | It's quite clear what block we're talking about, and the transitions used with it are pretty neat. I do however tend to clip the transition at the start, making it a little tedious to restart. Other than that the map is nice to hunt, although a bit short for my liking. ### MTC - Autocannon Test Facility • Clearvision | | | | | --- | --: | --- | | **Theme** | 18 | `6 + 6 + 3 + 3` | | **Creativity** | 9 | `4 + 1 + 2 + 2` | | **Fun** | 10 | `4 + 4 + 1 + 1` | | **Detail** | 8 | `6 + 1 + 1` | A 200IQ exploit makes for a unique and interesting submission for this MTC. The theme of the map is really well portrayed, and despite the length, the map is worth practicing and hunting. And yet, there was a path I didn't see until I watched the GPS. Some parts could be more intuitive though, such as the part near the ring CP where a U-turn sign might be preferrable instead. ### RaNasCar ~ Semaphore [MTC] • ranig | | | | | --- | --: | --- | | **Theme** | 13 | `4 + 5 + 1 + 3` | | **Creativity** | 4 | `2 + 0 + 1 + 1` | | **Fun** | 8 | `4 + 2 + 1 + 1` | | **Detail** | 5 | `3 + 1 + 1` | While driving this, I gotta say that I had problems identifying the macroblock used in this map, so I'm glad you detailed it out in the author comments. The macroblock is used fairly well, although it could've been highlighted more as it gets kinda lost between the other parts. The map itself is a nice nascar map and it drives pretty well, although a bit monotone in style. ### Turbostart mtc • OLDA_X | | | | | --- | --: | --- | | **Theme** | 10 | `2 + 4 + 1 + 3` | | **Creativity** | 6 | `3 + 1 + 0 + 2` | | **Fun** | 7 | `2 + 3 + 1 + 1` | | **Detail** | 5 | `3 + 1 + 1` | Even though the start macroblock is pretty cool, it's only used once in this map (and with a good reason). This is a bit unfortunate because I feel it doesn't get highlighted as much as something that could've been used several times. Aside from that I quite like the map, except for the last sector which is quite different to the rest and is very hit-or-miss for me. ### Sashay (mtc) • pjw | | | | | --- | --: | --- | | **Theme** | 16 | `5 + 5 + 4 + 2` | | **Creativity** | 8 | `3 + 1 + 2 + 2` | | **Fun** | 9 | `4 + 3 + 1 + 1` | | **Detail** | 8 | `5 + 1 + 2` | Very technical and very slidey. The macroblock is shown very well throughout the whole map, which is actually quite driveable and fun too. The negative hairpins do reduce the flow though, and can become pretty awkward if the gear kicks in at the wrong time. ### MTC - El Dorado • Marius 89 | | | | | --- | --: | --- | | **Theme** | 19 | `6 + 6 + 4 + 3` | | **Creativity** | 10 | `4 + 2 + 2 + 2` | | **Fun** | 7 | `2 + 3 + 1 + 1` | | **Detail** | 8 | `5 + 1 + 2` | An astonishing use of the highlighted block. It's everywhere! Amazing how all these block usages are packed into a single map. There are some very tricky parts which puts a damper on the experience, and it feels a bit bothersome to hunt. Solid map otherwise. ### MTC - Celebi • Mephistö | | | | | --- | --: | --- | | **Theme** | 18 | `6 + 5 + 3 + 4` | | **Creativity** | 9 | `4 + 1 + 2 + 2` | | **Fun** | 7 | `3 + 3 + 1 + 0` | | **Detail** | 9 | `7 + 2` | The amount of detail here is astonishing and the scenery is worth looking at its own. The map itself is nice with quite some transitions which work pretty well together. The wayfind was troublematic though, most notably at the re-use, but that doesn't stop this map from being a good contender for the MTC.
