# The Host ## So what is a host and why is it good? - Well its good for the game because we need a few more sci fi antagonists that fit the theme of space station 13 - We also need a horror antag and I think this fulfills the role perfectly, as its a horrifying change occuring over time instead of the instant mutations of the ling. - This antagonist is also good for the game because it offers a very interesting dynamic between the three parties the host the operator and the friend, and the stories of paranoia this antagonist can form are part of the thing that makes space station 13 so great. - An experimental weapon is a crewmember who starts off with an unusual experiment having been done to them which leaves them mutating - Slowly overtime whilst doing these tasks your body will begin to morph as your powers grow - You will have one player to protect, your "friend" - One player will also be designated "Operator"(An optional thing in the antag menu). You are also tasked with killing this operator. ### General concept: - You are a person implanted with a parasite intended on extending your abilities - You will be forced to eat organs and all the while the parasite will be spurring on your mutation - All mutation designs must be based on biological changes and should not be technological in nature to keep with the theme of the antagonist. - For example, you may feast upon corpses to gain fleshy wings ### Stages and progression: - For each stage you need to eat organs, 3 + 5X (Where X is the stage to progress to) - You will also have 3 players whose organs you have to eat for greentext. One of these players will be a head of staff or security officer. - You have to attempt to keep your friend alive - You must kill the operator - After each stage your genetic identity(prints) changes by 1-3 numbers and letters #### Stage 1, hunger. Options: 1. Feast, you gain the ability to eat directly from a corpse eating their organs to count towards you objective as well as heal yourself for every organ eaten. Whilst eating you will spew up blood (To leave DNA evidence and make the antag more horrific) This is the only option for your first stage #### Stage 2, mutation. Options: 1. Twin hearts, your heart beats faster, you gain the ability to ignore a hit of stun. This ability resets itself after 30 seconds. 2. Monsterous jaw, Your jaw becomes larger and you gain an active ability to use your jaw to gnash at a target in melee range, this causes a massive wound (On a 20 second cooldown). You eat twice as fast. 3. Noxious breath, You exhale miasma instead of CO2 (Exhalation rate increased by 3 times) and become immune to its effects, when you aggrograb someone you will now release neurotoxins in their face causing them to be put to sleep. #### Stage 3, growths. Options: 1. Claws of bone, You gain unretractable claws that heavily increase your melee damage and cause a wounding effect on the struck person. These claws also make glove wearing impossible. The gloves also count as you having "Large fingers" 2. Acidic spit, You gain the ability to spit a large glob of acid. This acid will deal rapid brute damage to the affected area and blind the target if hit in the face. The acidic spit also allows you to melt walls (As if you were a xeno). This attack functions if you press one tile away from melee range (like any hybrid weapon) 3. #### Stage 4, strength. Options: 1. Parasitic tail, You gain a tail that allows you to block incoming melee attacks once every 10 seconds and allow you to perform a tail sweep causing a knockdown and disarm (Every 8 seconds). 2. Parasitic claws, Your attacks now take 7u of your targets blood with every attack. Your attacks also cause a piercing wound instead of a slashing wound and cause minor organ damage. These claws also make glove wearing impossible. The gloves also count as you having "Large fingers". This mutation does stack with Claws of bone 3. Insectiod legs, You gain 4 additional legs making you immune to shoves and knockdowns (not stuns). You also trample anyone you walk over dealing damage. 4. Chrysalis, Gather 2 intact human corpses to start your chrysalis. This process takes 3 minutes and during which you will produce bone crunching noises as well as a loud heartbeat noise. After the chrysalis is complete you gain one mutation from tier 4 and one from tier 3. The chrysalis process can only be started on station. The operator will recieve a ping of your location after 1 minute and thirty seconds #### Stage 5, beast. Options: 1. Beastial sprinting, You are now faster and gain the ability to pounce (like a xeno). 2. Formless body, gain the ability to hide under objects as well as crawl through pipes. You also gain the camo mutation and have a permanent digital camoflague 3. Thick skin, batons and telebatons just bounce off you doing nothing. #### Stage 6, finality. Options: 1. Reflective wings, You gain a set of fleshy wings allowing travel in zero gravity as if you had a jetpack and having a 50% chance to reflect incoming ranged fire. The wings also allow you to perform a gust attack knocking enemies infront of you back a few tiles. 2. Arm splitting, You gain 2 more arms and get an attack speed at gloves of the northstar levels. You can now also smash through walls like a hulk and gain the ability to perform a slam attack causing a 2 second stun in a 3x3 area around you. ## The 2 additional "antags": ### The operator - As the operator you will be tasked with overseeing the hosts mutations and putting an end to the experiment if the need arises - You are also tasked with killing the friend of the host - The experiment is to be terminated if: 1. Once it attempts to kill a member of command 2. Once it attempts to kill a silicone lifeform 3. Once it attempts to majorly sabotage the station 4. Once it attempts chrysalis 5. Once it attempts to kill you - To perform this task you are equipped with one of two loadouts: 1. Nanotrasen: M1911 and 1 saturnX injector 2. Syndicate: Makarov and a chameleon kit - Operators gun is different depending on if it rolls for syndicate or nanotrasen ### The friend - You will not know you are the friend of the host - This is not really an antag and more of a protection objective to prevent the host from just killing everything with plasmafloods or similar mass destruction
