## Define & prototype 3 proposals
### Proposal n°1 : Sorting Hoop
##### Actors
:::warning
- FOR WHOM? This product is for company owners who care about the environement and want to make their employees happy, and at the same time make them have a fun experience while recycling.
- BY WHO? EMLyon Students Lazare BONIFAY, Rehman Ahamed, Gurleen KASHMIR, Julien WOLF
- WITH WHOM? We would like mainly like to involve companies that are willing to improve the waste sorting experience of their employees.
:::
##### Context
:::warning
- WHY? We want to create an enjoyable experience at work for employees. To provide more incentive for workers to manage their waste.
- WHEN? It is useful in employees's daily life whenever they have to put something in the bin.
- WHERE? The product has been imagined for offices but could be used for any type of indoor bins.
:::
##### Features
:::warning
- WHAT? It is a basket hoop that can be equiped onto bin. In order to sort, there is on the backboard an image of the items you are supposed to put in the bin (bottle, glass, paper, cardboard, plastic,...).
- HOW? It changes the sorting experience to a gaming experience by shooting in the right spot (Throw bottle in the bottle basket hoop for instace).
:::
##### Usage scenario
Describe use cases
How will users access your service?
Describe quickly the usage scenario, and add a drawing for each steps :
:::warning
**Initial context:**
One of the main problem we want to solve is that office workers may know about waste sorting but they don't really enjoy doing it thus they don't really understand its impact, meaning... So we want them to enjoy it while wanting to MAY BE learn more.
:::
:::warning
**Action 1:**

Install the basket hoops on the bins, so the basket hoop with a bottle image on top of the plastic bin etc…
:::
:::warning
**Action 2:**

Then just shoot. It is not a object that you use but something that affect the way we see bins and sorting.
:::
:::warning
**Resolving situation:**

Your waste is sorted and it will be recycled
:::
##### Benchmark
List concurrents and relative projects and describe how they relate or differentiate to your project
:::warning
* There is countless basket hoop for bin that have been created. Nevertheless everyone of them was made for children as a game, here some example : https://www.amazon.co.uk/Doxie-DoxieBall-Waste-paper-Basket-Game/dp/B00A10MICM
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Basketball-Net-Hoop-Backboard-Sound/dp/B01NCKPUKA
There is aswell little basket hoop that are not made fo bins but can accomplish the same. However our product took a distance from this, not in the product itself but about the use. Our product is made for sorting waste and not really for playing a game.

### Choose the most promising proposal
Compare the three proposals and select the one you think is the most relevant with regard to these 4 criterias:
- Is this proposal relevant to the course theme? (Fix our future with digital fabrication)
- Is this proposal relevant to the group's subject?
- Can I materialize this proposal on a scale of 1:1 at the makers' lab?
- Does my proposal respond to a real need?
At the next meeting you will argue your choice with your tutor, she / he will choose the proposal you will develop in the next phases.
:::warning
**Recyclable slot machine**
:::
:::warning
**Describe below why you selected this project:**
We selected this prototype because it has the highest potential to improve the waste sorting experience for firms by compressing the trash. In addition, there is a good nudge for employees to engage with the device using the game.
Moreover, the recyclable slot machine is more unique that the other ideas we got and seems more interesting to develop.
:::

# P2. Test!
:::info
The goal of this phase is to improve your prototype using end-users feedback.
:::
:::danger
**Negative user feedback doesn't means your proposal is bad** : do not give up and analyse what are the pain points to solve in a new version.
:::
## Test and iterate your proposal
### 1. Test protocol
Write below your test ptotocol :
:::warning
**Write here the ideal user profile (persona):**
The ideal user profile would firstly be an office employee because we want to develop our product in offices.
:::
:::warning
**Write here the goal of your test:**
The goal of our test is to know if our product is actually interesting for real users. If yes, how could we improve it. What features can be added, modified or removed.
:::
:::warning
**Describe here the main feature you want to test:**
The main feature we want to test is the compressor,and just understand if it's powerful enough to compress plastic material.
:::
:::warning
**Tell who will be conducting the tests (at least two persons per test):**
So the tests were conducted by Lazare, Rehman and Gurleen
:::
:::warning
**List and clearly describe all the actions that the user will have to perform to test your product according to your usage scenario:**
- put your garbage in the bin
- press the lever

The product can be a good short escape for employees, it seems fun and enjoyable| it's a unique idea| The internal components need to be improved|
:::
:::warning
Note here features that needs to be improved/removed/added:
1) The user identified that instead of having a weight to compress the plastic/paper the product could include something to shred the material. Maybe by including gears that turn in opposite directions and a handle to make it turn. This way the material is reduced to a smaller size to accomodate more volume.
2) The user said that the energy from turning the handle could be used to power a circuit to activate the game.

# P3. Design
## Make your final prototype
:::info
Now that you have defined what is your best proposal it's time to make a greater version of it. You will present it to the jury during the final evaluation alongside the early prototypes made in the previous phase.
:::
:::success
A good prototype is self-explainatory : the user must be able to understand how it works without instructions or user manual. It must be fully functional and sufficiently strong to withstand several demonstrations in real conditions of use.
:::
:::danger
For this phase it is **mandatory** to use at least :
- **Tinkercad** to design in 3D your product
- **Tinkercad Circuits** to design the electronics
- **Adobe XD** to make your prototype interactive.

### Demonstrator design
#### Drawing
:::info
Start by taking a sheet of paper and draw the global shape of your demonstrator, then explode it into the parts that compose it and draw them one by one.
:::
Drag-n-drop below the pictures of your drawings, don't forget to write a caption for each image :
