We could not take into account all the feedbacks/issues given by the users we interviewed due to the fabrication constraints and because it may not be adapted to the office environment. ::: ##### Prototype video Use your smartphone to make a short video (30s) showing your improved prototype in situation of use, and post it on the Slack channel of your group. *** ### 4. Second test #### User 1 :::warning - Name: Navprit - Age: 24 - Occupation: Employee - phone number: 06 64 20 71 07 - email: knavprit@gmail.com - Context of the meeting: Facetime (lockdown) - Duration of the meeting: 15 minutes ::: ##### User feedback :::warning Note here at least 3 issues raised by the user: - issue 1 : What would be this product's real size, is there going to be one product for one office or there are going to be multiple products, and if there are multiple bins wouldn't it be expensive for the companies? - issue 2: Where are the prizes going to come out from, are there going to be real prizes or just coupon or reduction on some products/services? - issue 3: The design / color of the product is not attractive. ::: :::warning Note positive, neutral and negative feedback | Positive | Neutral | Negative | | -----| --------| --------| | The form of the product, the concept, the idea behind it| design| Maybe a loss for the company who is going to give the rewards: because it can be an additional cost for the company | ::: :::warning Note here features that needs to be improved/removed/added ::: *** #### User 2 :::warning - Daniela - 24 - employee - 07 81 45 26 44 - private - on Zoom - 10 minutes ::: ##### User feedback :::warning Note here at least 3 issues raised by the user: - Is this bin for every type and every size of recyclable garbage? - Maybe connecting the bin to an application could be easier if no prize come out of the bin? - Who would be responsible to take care of the bin, the employees..? ::: :::warning Note positive, neutral and negative feedback | Positive | Negative | | --------| --------| | It could motivate people to recycle; it could also motivate other companies to have these type of bin which could have a positive impact on the environment| it could push people to use plastic objects only to win something | ::: :::warning Note here features that needs to be improved/removed/added ::: *** #### User 3 :::warning - Cindy - 32 - employee - 06 52 34 91 03 - private - On call - 15 minutes ::: ##### User feedback :::warning Note here at least 3 issues raised by the user: - Could companies customize the bin, like the form or other features for example? - Is the slot connected to the liver or is it apart? - The exterior design of the bin could be improved. :::warning Note positive, neutral and negative feedback | Positive | Negative | |-----------| --------| | -the fact that people could win actual prizes, it's original and different, it could create an eco-friendly spirit that could motivate other people/family member to recycle as well|the materials | ::: :::warning We could add an LCD screen for user interaction. ::: * * * ### 5. Define your final product According to users feedback rewrite your requirements specification. :::warning - What is the purpose of your product? *The purpose of our product is to improve the waste sorting experience of office workers.* ::: :::warning - What problem do you want to solve with it? *People in offices aren't sorting enought their waste. So we have created a fun device that will make them want to recycle their waste.* ::: :::warning - What features your product will have to achieve this objective? Rank the features in order of importance - main feature : Weight to compress the trash - second feature : Jackpot game - third feature : Lever ::: *** *** # P3. Design ## Make your final prototype :::info Now that you have defined what is your best proposal it's time to make a greater version of it. You will present it to the jury during the final evaluation alongside the early prototypes made in the previous phase. ::: :::success A good prototype is self-explainatory : the user must be able to understand how it works without instructions or user manual. It must be fully functional and sufficiently strong to withstand several demonstrations in real conditions of use. ::: :::danger For this phase it is **mandatory** to use at least : - **Tinkercad** to design in 3D your product - **Tinkercad Circuits** to design the electronics - **Adobe XD** to make your prototype interactive. ::: ___ ### Ressources Here is a short list of useful websites and softwares for prototyping things. :::success - [instructables.com](https://www.instructables.com/): A great website with tutorials for (almost) everything - [makezine.com](https://makezine.com/projects/): A well known magazine with tons of cool projects - [thingiverse.com](https://www.thingiverse.com/) The world's largest 3D printing commmunity, with loads of projects - [hackaday.com](https://hackaday.com/): If you are a bit hacker or want to become one, this site is for you! - [wikifab.org](https://wikifab.org/wiki/Accueil): Just like instructables, but *en français* - [Slicer](https://apps.autodesk.com/FUSION/en/Detail/Index?id=8699194120463301363&os=Win64&appLang=en) : A software to convert 3D models (.stl files) into laser-cutted slices, a great tool to build cardboard objects. - [Make a box](https://makeabox.io/) : A website to create boxes that can be laser cutted - [Makercase](http://www.makercase.com/) : Another laser cutted boxes website - [templatemaker.nl](https://www.templatemaker.nl/) : To create quiclky paper objects that can be cutted with the laser cutter. - [Sculptris](http://pixologic.com/sculptris/) : A 3D sculpting tool, a fun way to create 3D models for 3D printing or laser cutting. - ... ::: Note in the section below all the projects and tools you've find to help you for the conception and fabrication of your final prototype. :::warning * Arduino Hello World!,https://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/HelloWorld, LCD programming * Tutorialspoint, https://www.tutorialspoint.com/arduino/arduino_dc_motor.htm, DC motor code for cirucit * Engineers Garage, https://www.engineersgarage.com/contributions/jackpot-game-using-led-and-arduino/, Resource for design conception of circuit * Instructables, https://www.engineersgarage.com/contributions/jackpot-game-using-led-and-arduino/, Resource for design conception of circuit * Createarduino, https://create.arduino.cc/projecthub/electropeak/the-beginner-s-guide-to-control-motors-by-arduino-and-l293d-139307, Resource of conception of circuit * Reference name, link, what is the link to your project ::: ### Demonstrator design #### Drawing :::info Start by taking a sheet of paper and draw the global shape of your demonstrator, then explode it into the parts that compose it and draw them one by one. ::: Drag-n-drop below the pictures of your drawings, don't forget to write a caption for each image : :::warning ![](https://imgur.com/kVR5eP9.jpg) Main picture : global drawing of your demonstrator This drawing shows the overall product and all the external features.
