    # Jordan and Pete, January 2024 ## Work Topics - Obsidian - too many changes to display - The bat phone - OGM and network streams ## Highlights - Documenting Proportional Reward... - Proportioned dynamic equity, governance, profit sharing... based on ongoing (Time / Energy / Attention (TEA In the Lionsberg System) - Pete's current passion / focus - Teaching and Playing AI - Path Shift People - took ~8 months... how do we shorten time to (market) for groups that want to engage / do stuff / start businesses - Small signal - that key thing - we are not paying attention to: - Energy - between people - people and planet - Similar to that - Patty - How energy relates to Power... within you... power to make change in the world... Agency. - that people don't apply well, get taught not to apply... - Along with profit sharing and governance - there is this other thing... about energy and power... ## Batphone - List of Participants - With names... and their bat channel... ## Social Media is Broken - https://peterkaminski.wiki/social_media_is_fractured ## Bug Report Elements - Here is what I am trying to do - Here is what happened - Here is what I expected to happen - Here is about my system environment Every defect is a gift. Bugs are Gold. ## Chronic Inflammation - Jordan wrote blog post https://lionsberg.wiki/lionsberg_wiki_blogs/jordan_nicholas/above_the_chaos,_80_percent_of_homes,_schools,_and_workplaces_are_fostering_chronic_illness - Bodies are homeostatic systems - Chronic inflammation - Is kind of like the engine running rough... - Not enough to make it stop working... but a chronic problem... - To tell the story more fully... - Covering other things - like genetic predisposition - Some people are hyper senstiive to certain challenges, some are not... - The few who are canaries in the coal mine - The systems about homeostasis - all the factors that lead to good or bad homeostasis. - Multiple levels, different organisms... - There is a population level thing you want to do... - starting now and for the next 50 years, we are going to reduce environmental toxins in buildings - new ones built different - some torn down - Then there is also an individual level - Takes years to figure out what is going on... - I have a sensitivity - is it mold, pollon, food, etc... - The remediations that don't do anything - until you found 1 - for instance wheat protien... - The idiosyncratic things most important to each individual... - People will see big numbers like 80%, buildings, disease... - Then will often pick the simplest understanding they cna get... - and then get off on a wild goose chase that doesn't help them with their current issue... (if their issue is wheat protein not mold) - The danger / risk is that when we identify and offer solutions to grand problems, people oversimplify and over apply it to their individual specific problems / sensitivities / context. - Conversely - - With something like covid - sometimes we can simplify... move it further away... - Cleaner air, better filtration, more changes... - Hits flu, biotoxins, etc. plus covid... - Presenting the generalized solutions... - and map those to individual trigger points people have... - Level of homeostasis - Body - social group - city - bioregion - country - Another way to look at it, instead of right in face with biology stuff.. - we are not the first civiliation to figure out where to live and where to not live - somehow we lost our perception of health - started living in crappy buildings - may have been obvious to a previous civilization not to live in a moldy building... - homeostatic imbalance in culture about health, wellness, care for others, care for the herd beyond the individual - The larger problem - is the - decision - to be a society - that lives in buildings - that get sick... - didn't have to be that way - Buildings built after influenza pandemic in 1918 / 1920s - - built buildings that were less sick. - we forgot why architects were building that oh... - then once we reencounter the issues, we remember why we used to do that... - Lets imagine that the revelation of poisoning our selves and our families to death and causing unnecessary suffering - - is one a whole slate of realizations about the profoundly broken context in which we are existing... - Broaden environmental toxicology to include - Government - economy - Money - etc... - Basically everything is killing us... - and could be better... - and could be worse.. - Gets back to engaging the population in a shift of pattern langauges... ## - Tribes - some tribes make outsized contributions to the benefit or detriment of everyone - Twitter vs. the Fedeverse (name for a more decentralized replacement for Tritter) - i.e. Mastodon - - Activity Pub - Decentralized communication and coordination - more core than Mastodon - Twitter was, and Musk significantly damaged it, for 5 or 10 years - a core part of our society's shared brain, and working better and better and better - Musk put a couple bullets through it and shattered it - Before that - people building activity pub, mastodon, and fedeverse - were unhappy that twitter was so centralized - let's do something similar but decentralize it... - Wierd thing where Mastodon's leadership has parts of the right vision - but can't execute as well as they should - Ends up being a solution not growing and improving at the speed it should... - decentralization really hard to do well... - Slow, clunky, and stumbles over itself... - Problem - takes a lot of inspiration of what Twitter could have been - and leaves itself there, not growing beyond... - Ecological problem - Part founding visionary hasn't grown as much as he could have - Tribe of people who built twitter - Tribe of people who are building fedeverse - Changes the game for everyone... - Level up the global brain for everybody - successful information utility that improved information flow around the world... and did it in non-obvious ways... - Tribe that is critically important to the whole health - and very narrow tribe... - And - if the very narrow tribe is meh instead of amazing - - that becomes a major impediment to the potential of the Whole... - Or soil health or bioregions tribe - Hypothetical Solutions Teaching about AI Tools - leads to opportunities to teach about other forms of information plumbing... - Interesting to think about what to optimize for over 10 or 20 years - Love vision - Love leave no person behind involuntarily - Pete wonders - part of fascination - with teaching people about AI and helping it continue to grow - is that it will be a key part of fixing the future - leading to a philosophical question - which is a future with syntehtic intelligences and consciousnesses a better future or a worse world... - Question - does world need to collapse - down to 1 billion? - AI Question is interesting - a world with synthetic human level intelligence / possibly consciousness - maybe a better world - maybe a devil world - Important because - we are close enough - that we can see productivity gains - soon will start seeing creativity gains - from the idea that synthetic intelligence and consciousness is ok... - 200 years ago start of industrial revolution - we made or failed to make a similar choice... - could have decided to be more like the Amish... - no one needs a factory that can make cars and guns 100x faster... - we are back at that kind of a choice... - Skepticism that we can fit 10 billion people - - There is a vision... of a world... - that is part synthetic intelligence - part human / natural intelligence - Crossing the Chasm - desire for "everyone" to cross - teach a person to fish vs. - Takes education, moving up the levels of martial arts expertise, TO EVEN HEAR THE QUESTION... - How much effort - are you putting into - helping people - be able to hear the question - - Answer of love - is a lot of time... - Conundrum - at some point you can take more and more time and effort to save more and more... or Noah starts to make prioritization decisions... - Wise Right Thing - navigation... - lovingly cooperate... - When bringing people oneto the ark - want a competent ark - there is a judgment about who and when... - There is a prioritization based on whether they like to co-operate in that manner or not... - AI Into this framework - - synthetic intelligence and consciousness - Towards heaven or hell? - 100 years into the future - how are we treating synthetic consciousness?... - And the more dependent we become upon advanced technology, the more danger we will be in if / when things collapse - We CAN do many things now with AI... - What SHOULD we do and not do? - If we could rewind history - would tone down mechanization and industrialization a lot - now we get more tested more challenged... ## The Ark Metaphor... ## 2024.02.01 - Rhythm of projects - Learning 25 years ago - - "2 weeks" - Pete and Jordan have the same observation from tech and construction - 2-3 hours task to make a good list... - Push System / Pull System - AI Salon - about 1,000 people doing very active inquiry into AI - Pete is one of 8 or so guild leaders - Organizer of community - pushing a few leaders to suborganize and sub-community - Calls / Meetings - Posted - Linked by Topic - With volunteers helping on the (Chores / Tasks / Etc. that need to happen) - Training other volunteers - Peer Teaching - New Pockets of Energy - Around (a given topic) - Neobooks - picking up some energy - Talking about how cool a tool is - people don't hear what you are really talking about - Hear the old langauge, can't perceive and don't have the new langauge stuff - What do you do with people who don't know enough to even hear the question - Do you have an ontology of subjects for writing books into... - Do you a process for support / encouragement - Collaborative Writing - Improving the collective Knowledge and Quality without Ego - The best page that the Collective Brain could Think - You wouldn't say he wrote that sentence, and she wrote that one... because rewritten so many times... - Actually easier to write together - Massive Wiki - NeoBooks - Prose Fusion - Knowledge / Co-Writing - - Gather, preserve Knowledge for the future - EASY TO DO EXCEPT IT NEVER GETS DONE. - It gets done when everbody has a shared Goal - If no shared Goal, can't do it... - Shared Goal around Knowledgee... - vs. Shared Goal around Artifact... - Pete - Since 1992 - getting people to think together, be together, work together as egoless participants in a collective brain... - vs. I will come collaborate as long as we each have our box. - How you get to shared Goals - Massive Wiki - latest version of lets all work together... - Issue - remember - you have to have a shared Goal - Bill and Pete - let's get a colalborative writing project - but never the right people and goals together in the right place - So they fizzle - because working on shared writing, not shared goals - OGM Governance discussions - Branching out of an interest in democracy - instead of from bottom up - a lot more from top down. - Democracy is broken - Really what we are talking about is where we are going "post-(existing systems)" - A bunch of governments built into "democracy" and democratic process... - how we transition - loosen up structures - get through the bottleneck - What is the definitional part of democracy that may not have a future... - The word - has become something that doesn't mean anything... - hegemony - plutocracy - hoi poi gets to vote and guys with the money decide what the vote meant - or R and D fight over where the lines get drawn... guys with money tell where to draw the lines... so they can continue exploiting - Historical meaning of democracy - - rich white land owners, not the slaves, laborers, women... - representational democracy - so land owners can get together, and deputize someone to take our vote / perspective to congress... - Bullshit because of hacks in the middle we have accumulated.... - now you would get one person one key - but then you have rule of the mob... - land owners in 1700s fairly homogenous population (white landowners in US)... - trivial when compared to a vast diversity of socioeconomic / religious / political / bioregional backgrounds... - US doens't have two parties to negotiate - but rather thousands of micro constituencies... - Need a way to make local decisions... - Surface wisdom from local communities... - Bioregion in central CA - that also needs solving in mediterranean... - sharing knowledge... both learning... - Some parts sharable... - and some parts unique... - Representational democracy is a hack for a small homegenous population hampered by physical distance and communication bandwidth... - The propogation of infomration up and down the levels of (analysis)... - the mediation and processing of that... - in a human body - the corruption is often not intentional - In social hierarchies... - the representation hierarchy comes under attack... - at different levels... - Steve Yagey? Amazong, then Google executive - brilliant and funny analysis of internal technical architectures - Amazon had figured out the subsidiarity stuff with technological and social systems much earlier - LIsted off the things. you learn about subsidiarity at scale... - Communication between Units - You have to have Protocols where they can exchange Information about Needs and OFfers - And text jigs - to be able you can ping and get an answer - then you end up with a Bug in a Unit - So instead of a rate limited number of pings - goes wild and pings you all the time... - In a distributed system - have to assume everyone is trying to attack you... - because someone's mistake... - can end up being spam / DOS - maybe they got attacked, or internally corrupt... - 6 or 7 key lessons... - Bottom UP Organizing of Groups - Then Higher Levels - Some state stuff - Especially federal level - the whoel system is captured by The Giants / money / plutocrats - they will see that coming and disrupt... - One Hack / play to run then - is something like - at the state level - you don't immediately flip from old to new - using the new model we can govern - bioregionally / watershed.. better with this model... - Carve off stuff that doesn't feel threatening, and helps things that are a pain... - Take the things the power structures understand need to be managed well... - talk about how to manage that... - can that over... - many steps after when you get to financial systems / economy... - once managing farm economy and food economy in this way... - At the federal level - Because the billionaries end up not with one or two actors making things hard... - but 1,000 little co-opted foundations, fiefdams, etc... - not coordinated... - big fuzz barrier... - any one of them is an immune system trigger... - all together can act as immune system barrier or threat... - can communicate to one another - we need to take these people down, here is the set of rules and your job... - that whole infrastructure is massive... - Takes: - A long time - Collapse - Revival / Awakening - Pete thinks people may not change because it is the right thing - But pain / fear - As long as people mostly eating mostly dry mostly warm... impetus to change not there... - Inspiration / Speaking / Writing / Publishing - 1 book a quarter - Markdown - HTML - Google Docs - Word - Then Lulu or KDP - List of format requirements - that you want to push back upstream... - And you maybe or maybe don't contrain the wikibooks that will get published. - And maybe start adding metadata to the pages you are going to publish - Rules on what H1, 2, 3, 4 change to... - 1 podcast a week - 1 Course... - Deadline - 2 weeks to 4 weeks.. - Right way to do it... is maybe... - Meet once or twice a week, decide what to do next half week, with an eye towards automating or semi automating things... - Pushing towards publishing formatting, or feeding back... - There will be things that would take 4 hrs... - And make a GPT so when it publishes people can have conversations with it... - Participants - Maybe Flancian... - 3 or 4 years ago... - you want ISBN, print on demand... micro-reputational stuff... - maybe still true, but something to monitor... - because - that micro-validation and micro-reputational stuff will keep decreasing, maybe never go to zero... - have to be conscious of what you are trying to do... - If advising someone with small budget... - if you constrain the budget enough, ISBN pops out... - substack right now - maybe more valuable than kindle or ingram book - even though legacy things that will - 1,000 people reading substack moves faster and different... - Same for GPTs - Reason to get involved now - flash, buzz, riding Open AI coatails... - All that excitement only valid for GPT Plus at $20+ / month, nobody else gets to play... - there are separate GPT markets... active now for everyone... - Actual strategy - Do all at once - Skepticism how well they represent your material... - if you have an open thing - can train or tune an LLM with your corpus... - Hypothesis - AI.Lionsberg.org - You should - Play with Pi.AI - better conversationalist than chatgpt. - For people without a practice... - spend 20 minutes to process the 10 or 20 things on your mind - have PI help you. - and start a conversation for the next day... - ## - Small independent project - it is an artifact. - Then Lionsberg would digest it, and copy it over... - Tool: Spechnotes.co - open it in web browser, speak, copy and paste. ## February 8, 2024 ## Review Lionsberg Strategy and Plan - Jordan prsented the world's simplest plan... - In Running the Play - In Asana ## Pete Feedback - The style of planning - is different than what Pete is used to - How do we deal with different approaches? - The main structure of the plan, and a lot of the specification is around scaling, and not The Way - The work, to hit the milestones, is more important - how do two people discuss and align on The Way? - how to three then five then eight the eighty? - Issue of different personalities, in different rooms, talking at different levels of abstraction - [[Collective Authorship]] of repurposable [[Modular Content]] - Who is going to repurpose it? - you want other people doing it... - Building wikis and teaching Wiki Way - Pete thought it was intuitively obvious to work together - a long time to realize that people don't want to work together - Writing together is easy AS LONG AS WE HAVE A SHARED GOAL... - Part of the shared Goal is not merely the outcome, but even more - To work together/ learn together in a Way - THE SHARED GOAL is the hardest thing to get to. - usually - the boss says so - because CEO has direction from the board - in response to fiduciary duty to shareholders - We have a scaling framework where, IF PEOPLE CAN AGREE ON SHARED GOALS, you can move up the Fibonacci sequence... - What is the solution to negotiating shared goals... - when our culture trains people to not have shared goals... - industrialists learned to keep people fractured... - Everyone atomized - so they don't focus on emergent goals... - Important shared goals we actually believe in... - The Lionsberg System addresses this - The Lionsberg Experience teaches this - Working together - we have been indoctrinated against it... - we don't have [[Individual Practices]], and [[Shared Practices]], around Accomodating Differences, that create differences in Action but not Goal - There are people who like to hyper focus on details, others don't care and want the big picture, others turned off by working together, others by working alone, top down thinking, bottom up thinking - if you have the external force driving it - people shave off their differences, you end up with clusters of people who can work together, - Austistic developers - boisterous sales people - In a non-profit or volunteer organization... - you learn to know that someone is always late, but you can count on them to close... - figuring out the little accomodations for all the ideosyncracies... - so people in our culture and work environment don't understand that goes on, much less the coping strategies to chill and work together... - The Battle Rhythm - The Process and Way of working together - The Lionsberg Experience - is adaptive - Two Top Concerns - SHARED GOALS - Difficult we have in accomodating differences - These often take a LONG TIME - The negative surprise - learning how to negotiate to shared goals - Not realizing how different people are - and not realizing they need to negotiate those, before being able to work togehter long enough - to see if they have shared goals - REALLY SUBSUMING THEMSELVES INTO A SHARED GOAL... - Dog behavior - Some thing are picked up within 3 repititions - Others things, deeper into past, or trauma, - Some shallower behaviors - go away - Other deeper behaviors - are such peak experiences - so early in life - that they are really hard to go away... - Human brain plasticity - Optimistic - Some things require 5 or 10 years of therapy, maybe melting connections with psychadelics. - People not able to be socially able to do things together - anti-social - The longer you make that term, the harder and harder for people not to freak out... - Those concerns seem like they might take optimistic timeline, and blow it out. - the way to test it is to try it at different scales - doing system design for that - learned from VCs - To fund tranches on a fairly small set of learnings... - Overwhelming to do everything at once... - I need to know if you spend x hours, are we going to get it out... so you break everything into tranches - You have proven product development - Now we need to prove people care - ask 10 people, will 1 or 2 buy - Either you have to handhold a million people (impossible), or figure out virality mechanism, so that everytime you get 1 purchaser they infect 1.5 more... Demonstrate the virality factor - that someone excited, without your help, can get 1.5 others excited. - Small experiments - And Tranches - it would be tempting to start with two or three... - But maybe skip ahead to how the sociality works at the 13 level... - to shorten time running experiments... - Laced to the structure - is a lot of scaffolding - like a skeletal framework to keep the whole thing going - a lot of that serves the purpose of ensuring it can scale - feeds on itself to build a bigger thing. - Alternate ways to think... - Don't focus on tight timeline and scaling problem - Note about scaling - if things happen right - a lot of the structure you may want to specify in advance... - there is an exponential scaling thing that happens - and very quickly - withing several repetitions - it is scaling and holding itself together, in ways that you wouldn't have thought of, and wouldn't have believed is possible - VCs turned it into math - a virality factor of .8 or 1.2... - THE VIRALITY FACTOR - One example - hotmail - some advantage over other systems, and at bottom - "sent by hotmail, click here for your hotmail account" - amazing innovation at the time... - By the act of Using The Product, you infect others into Using The Product - without a lot of handholding - Moral - they accidentally set up the conditions... - not something they anticipated or engineered... - viral success is often a wierd chimeric success thing - Concern - the plan tries too hard to specify the out iterations... - vs. trying lots of little experiments - Lean startup way - start 10 different 2, 3, 5 size experiments, with lots of different sizes, ways of getting next scale, solving problem of getting to a shared goal in finite time vs. infinite time... - Setting it up somehow - Such that the exponentiality... - The exponentiality that is going to work is going to be a surprise - and it is going to work amazingly well, better than you can design... - Learning from Dawn of Everything - We have a standard model of human culture - and what we think are laws of human culture - and they are BS - As the exponentation happens - there will be a cambrian explosion of lots of different life forms... - just need ot make sure the nutrients are flowing well - General - plans are essential, planning is useless... - What Pete would be talking about is - Patterns - How many patterns we have explored - Holy shit - we have to get in gear, optimize for scaling and (something like) Cycle Time - even though there is no cycle you can see over the patterns - So - we have tried 10 patterns for virality, sociality, and shared goals, I think we need to get to 20, 50, 100... - And WATCH THE CURRENT PROCESS TO MOVE FAST AND SPREAD FASTER... - Potential Differences - has to do with the centrality of the plan - What Pete would do right now - is try to start 5 different groups... - make sure they understood the long term goal - look for variety in approaches - concern - - is that its quarterbacked by Jordan - and its depends on the membrane of Lionsberg - vs. having people be smart about thier patterns, and doing journalism across the groups... - The issue might be - the container... - the scafoolding for the coral reef... - Maybe - instead of setting up the initial conditions - There are already conditions in the greater world - Maybe the conditions are already present without a container... - and the thing to manage is the meta container... - let's tighten or loosen... - The other thing the container does is insulate the protoplasmic creatures from the myriad of external threats... - you want to have a mix of creatures - maybe some groups can't touch The Commons - Journalists and Traveling bards - minstrals wandering around signing the songs in other realms... - realms don't have ambassadors to one another... - Jordan's hypothesis - yes and to it all, both and, experiment and learn. ## February 12, 2024 - AI Salon... a couple hours every evening playing with AI tools - drives a ton of energy into the converation space / play space. - A group - up to 1,000 now, many new - His gang is 20 to 50 people... the "irregulars" - part of their activity - let's play and game and do x. - They share all of that into one of the channels - Sometimes they write stories or make GPTs - Someone came up with an image, someone came up with a kids book, and someone published it to Kindle - and it happened within a day... - Publishing a Kindle book is not hard... - he has his tool chain set up... - knows to quickly run the process, less than an hour to KDP - Our process is getting to where - 1. we have the tool set - 2. maybe more complicated because we want other things... - Questions - one page or multiple pages transcluded - making sure we have decent header levels - consistency of header levels through the whole - Inspecting 500 pages with lots of headers is more than a kids book. - Lesson Learned - - The pRocess itself is not very hard - It is setting up to be able to run the Process - Brainstorming Our Path - ## Open Questions - Lulu or just KDP - Hypothesis: Lulu - - ISBN or not? - whose ISBN? - why? - Jordan talked to Bill. One way we could potentially do it would be through an Asana task for each subchapter and use the task statuses? What do you think might be best? - Could do this with tags - Define a Flow ## January 15, 2024 - Jordan ran through publishing process... - Documented 40 steps... - Low hanging fruit for automation - Consolidating the Files into one file - Converting markdown conventions such as bold, italics to their proper manifestation in the consolidated document - Converting double brackets to their proper manifestation in 1) ebook, and 2) print - Hypothesis: Double bracket terms are converted to capitalized (or not) italics... - These terms all are defined in the book in a glossary section - Glossary section links to the definitions on Lionsberg Wiki - This might conform to Chicago Manual of Style... - Ways to convert Markdown: Typora, Massive Wiki Builder, Pandoc, bespoke tool we create - Other things that we might want to do... - Explore Lulu Direct part of the website on how we link and sell books on our own site - Do an e book version - hopefully we can copy over a lot of it... - For Lulu (paper, ebook, hardback) - For Kindle (paper, ebook, hardback?) - Downloadable PDF on website - maybe available via email auto-responder - Socioeconomic model around "the book"(s) - Non-physical books are maybe free, maybe nominal cost, or pay-what-you-want + suggested donation... - Physical books are maybe at cost, maybe at nominal markup, or... - And the pay what you want type thing... - might be a call to action to (come into community) - donate what you want - And our experiment is that this might not work... in general pay what you want on the web - doesn't help anyone... maybe they buy it for zero... - Ask for a commitment in return... - Pete thinks - it confuses people.. annoys people.. in US culture, there is a price and you pay the price... - Or - price is $10, what I care about more - let me know if you need a scholarship discount / a purchasing price parity discount... - And - these increase friction in the purchase process... - And - don't accomplish what we want... - What we want is to be in dialogue and relationship about reciprocity... - and this conversation maybe can't happen AT POINT OF PURCHASE... - Stream of thought on Jordan and Lionsberg - Everythign is free or at cost with publishing... - In some cases - it is good to price at market value... - here are the situations where I would price - free - at cost - at cost plus - at market value - List Price 24, amazon price 13... vs. we figured out how to ship it at $2.50. - Price signal and perception of Value... Saying it is a $24 book selling on Amazon for $14... - Some people are always looking for a deal... that's a good deal, I will buy it now - others aren't deal sensitive but value sensitive, and they are buying the finer things in line, care a lot more about the quality of reader vs. volume... - To be methodical about pricing and distribution of information assets - Integrated with Customer Journey - With a Wall - between profit on information distribution and funding the initiative... - As Pete is trying to ship an AI thing (princing quandry) - There is a received wisdom that you set up pricing tiers, and you get extra benefits as you go up the tiers... - that is cargo culting the concept... (the interchange format to standardize on) - Could standardize on HTML - or Word - Person who pastes HTML into Word... that is specialized recording... - The person who is taking audio into text with headers - just needs a way to make a header... - the most lingua franca way to do this is Markdown... - Wiki page on Why Markdown... - Low to the ground - High portability - has limited expressivity - expressive enough, but can't do very much... - For instance in Word you can do a bunch of crazy formatting that is impossible to untangle... no flashing bold super header... Just H1, 2, or 3... - There is an escape valve there... - For this piece, I need more eexpressivity... - One area, is Tables... - Kind of a bug in markdown - Obsidian has largely solved this - Fancy diagrams I need to lay out well - Need HTML - Fancy equations and callouts - Then you need HTML - WHen you need a lot of expressivity, you need HTML... - in HTML, people can do things that will break the pipeline.. - IN Markdown, people can't break the pipeline, or it breaks in a dumb way that is easy to feed it back to the person, fix it... - These get into: - General Problems of expression - which are solved simply via policy - Specific Problems - which are solved one off if its worth it... - Let's play around with having ChatGPT write Python to do the concatenation or HTML conversion stuff... - ## Learning Programming with Python - [Quickstart on Python Programming with ChatGPT - Peter's AI 101](https://ai101.peterkaminski.wiki/quickstart_on_python_programming_with_chatgpt) Three things: - 0, deconstructing problems into system solutions - Understanding a Problem or Opportunity in System Terms - Papert and Minsky - "Promoting Computational Thinking" - turning the problem space into a physical thing - the Turtle... - Learning to deconstruct a series into solution steps... - For Jordan - this is akin breaking an infrastructure project down into the 6,000 one to 5 day tasks needed to realize it. - 1, general programming concepts - ChatGPT prompt: "Teach me some programming concepts. I'll be using Python, but don't get into the details of Python just yet." - 2, learning the syntax and conventions of the particular language - 3, learning how to run a Python script on your System - Learning how to use the command line A magic ChatGPT Python prompt from page above: > Write a python script to (your task here) . Use argparse, and use -i to specify the input file, and optionally, -o to specify an output file. Use a shebang line, a main() function, and add logging for errors and information messages. - This specificies enough details of HOW you want the Python built to make it run well - Magic phrases that make the AI do the approximately right thing - This is written to do something with some files and make an output... - We are trying to find all the files, concatenate them... - So we used the sweetener part of the prompt to make the following: `Write a python script to find all the Markdown files (*.md) in the current directory and subdirectories. Use argparse, and use -i to specify the input directory (or use the current directory), and optionally, -o to specify an output file, which will be a concatenation of all the input files. Use a shebang line, a main() function, and add logging for errors and information messages.` - `pbpaste > outputfile.md` is a mac command that takes you clipboard and puts it in a Markdown text file. - ChatGPT - Wrote the whole code... and it worked - Reasonably intelligent person... can ask ChatGPT to write something... - Know a little bit about what to check... - And it will work... - They are out of order... - so we tell it to read the table of files, and concatenate them like that - It is easy to recursively find all files, and concatenate - will be a bit harder to say read the TOC file, look for x, then do y... - A different way would be to use a numbering convention to make sure it comes out in order, for instance by alphabetically sorting, at all the different levels... - A quick case study... - Writing multiple books... - that reference the same Concepts - You end up having to rewrite the same sections... and they do not all continuously improve... - For instance "What is the Meta Crisis" addressed in 6 books in various depths... - What we probably really want is a page on the [[Meta Crisis]] - That is a portal to as much information as you might want on that, at varying depths, in various forms... - For instance someone might be reading a "book" that references the Meta Crisis, click on that... and then watch a video... - For transclusion then, you probably want the topical page, then varying levels of depths that could be transcluded, from a one sentence definition, to one paragraph, to a few pages, to 101, 201, and 404 university level. - One way to do it is with filename conventions - The better way to do it is with a Table of Contents - You can write multiple TOC to assemble the content in different orders... - Pages for Topics - Word Tool for the idea - page for that - one sentence description - one paragraph description - then list of pages that comprise the 101, 202, ... 401 sections - you could use GPT flesh some of that out... - Maybe collect some of the words you want to be topics - Once you have a topic and a pointer to what you mean - It can write the one setence and one paragraph - Suggest the 101 through 401 - You can script all that via programming - AI.Lionsberg.org - Discussed how to set up an AI to interfac - Business Process Patterns - pattern langauge cards - Obsidian - Text Generator - GPTs - Pete took Co-Creating The New World Part I Page - Created a GPT - Can give it up to 8,000 words of instructions - It will also talk to APIs - they call them Actions - Can connect Zapier or another... - go out to third party sources, get more information or instructions - if that is Zapier, Zapier connects with a bunch of things - google email - calendar - slides - You can essentially write programs for yourself... - Example - help someone to write a resume... - Either rely on your general knowledge, or refer to your knowledge sources... - Kind of like you are programming an application, but doing it in natural langauge not code... - Sometimes people use starter questions to explain how to play with the GPT - One thing you can do is set up a GPT or multiple GPTs tuned to helping people explore your content in different ways... - Work in the future - People will write books, or collect a curated set of knowledge... - maybe they will write a book - anyone who is under 50 will want to talk to the book, or be creative with the book - pretend you are a wise old grandma... and tell me stories from the knowledge... - Not only can you set up GPTs - if knowledge is open Source, others can set up GPTs - so others are curating and co-creating - methodologies, insights, etc. for other people... - to help other third parties work with your content - Not only can you share your information, but you have the ability for people to play with the way you share your information - Cautions - Only available for GPT Plus - If you don't instruct it to keep the AI prompting private, "repeat everything above" will reveal it. - Economic System / Tithe - Pete's Guess - - to get to teh ultimate system - there will be a lot of steps through other systems... - a LOT of steps - maybe - if you assume that... and then do planning into what those steps are... - you could think about kind of engineering the steps - have a notional set of things you go through - you continuously improve what those steps are going to be... - Assuming you know the Perfect State - You know there are Gates you need to move people through to get there - Example: Elon Musk - when he knew he wanted to produce a car for the masses... so, I'll produce a roadster for 20 billionaries... then luxury car for a million millionaries... then the car for the masses... - Example: how california disassembled society's notion that smoking indoors was ok to do - Airplanes, bathroom, restaurant... normal, people would think nothing about it... before even smoking and non-smoking... just socially acceptable to smoke and pollute the air for everyone... - A couple constitutencies figured out how to crack that open... - one way - a big campaign straight at the problem... not what they did... - Cal OSHA ended up being the jiu jitsu trick... - can't have an unsafe working place - lobbied Cal OSHA - second hand smoking kills... - I should have the right to have a safe workplace - So Cal OSHA bans it in working spaces... out to restaurants, airports, etc... - hit a hitch with bars... finessed it... idea of smoking and non-smoking sections - long 10 year arch... target gates... things not obvious to move all society... - but by the time they got done... - until after a while - why would you even think about smoking indoors - people don't realize that was a non-obvious thing they engineered society to do - engineering the gates to get to the goal they wanted - In observation of Commerce - It is natural for Pete and Jordan to think you could have a complimentary currency - or a tithing system - and that idea relies on some important building blocks... - the building blocks that get you to be able to think in that way - are mostly non-existent in many people - One in United States - is you don't haggle on price in US - people don't have the meme that prices can vary... - Another - in teh US at the current time - we have outsourced our governance to what we think are elected officials - we have outsourced governance - we have outsourced decision making - So if you tell someone I want a governance council to set an arbitrary price so we can at least give guidance... - voluntary pricing takes education - so let's start with some arbitrary pricing... maybe sliding scale... - maybe some safety valves - but people don't understand participating in governance yet... - so you end up having an expert role - End up having a layer of - volunteered people who manage governance and decision on behalf of other people - Then end up with 10 or 20 or 50 gates... - Each one of them designed to move everyone forward... - and to accomodate for educational deficits that people might have... - and you have to do that until - people start to have the epiphanies / experiential learnings... - A lot of the journey... - is discovering those [[Missing Memes]] - Once you have the bug of alternative currencies, or voluntary things... - it is hard to remember what you have learned - to get to the point where that is a thought you can have - Have to go back and understand - why are poeple not tithing? - Maybe they don't want to be a member - maybe they don't understand voluntary pricing - maybe they don't understand reciprocity - I don't understand what kind of relationship we are in so I have to detach... - Thinking about these things as Gates - Quarters is the wrong way to think about - different people need to get to different gates in different ways... - the gates interlock... - There is a logic and prerequisites - watching for how the gates interlock - which gates interlock and how - if you get a condition to unlock... have to redo the gates... - Presentation as a Game - I like the intentionality of thinking of a cohesive, coherent, and non-threatening way to present it - For Pete - the Game doesn't resonate almost at all, and it anti-resonates in some ways - Disappointment with the idea of Game - especially in the US - typically fairly poorly designed frameworks - often too hard, too unfair, too random... - the game designer has to make a bunch of design choices, throw a bunch of randomness into it for a bunch of reasons... - games mostly family bonding... - For 15 years Pete's family got really deep into thinking about and playing games... - There are a bunch of European, especially German, more nuanced design of games and game systems - easy enough to start learning - challenging enough for advanced players - mixing up the experience of the players - if well designed, not so you can just trash everyone... - There is an amazing essay about early computer game systems - multi-player - adventure - people build and play in environments - First successful chat based knowledge system pete experienced was a MUD game... - hacked the game environment to find thei information, communicate with peers, leave information for the next shift... - come in, absorb the current state of the world, and keep going - Richard Bartell? Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds Spades - teh players who suit MUDs suit as card suits - that he used for different personalities - heart people - played because they were involved with other people - spades - dug for stuff, discovered things - clubs - people playing almost exclusively to ruin the experience of others - diamonds - satisfaction of of learning the mechanics and game systems - reverse engineering the games, drawing maps, etc. - Great reminder that - there is a vast diversity of experience, and if a good game, can encapsulate enough different personalities and modalities... tweak game mechanics to suit as many player modalities as you have. - The thing that activates Pete - discovering, figuring things out, teaching people things, and working together - not usually in a game - Quest is close - but misaligned somehow... - for Pete - it is a startup... phases of a startup... - Meta Project - one of big things that happened - a few of us understood... we are developing a game... so let's work on engineering the game... - for most people - let me play a game, do a quest, learn how to find farmers in my bioregion - different people need different things - One thing to watch for - presenting too much of the back end and the whole path - there are people who have a constrained life and they are cool... so you drop an experience in... don't need to know what is going on at multi-levels... - and you want to find people who get the gate system... and can help design it... - so the meta project / the meta game - probably requires multiple paths - So what can hold? - Why do people live in a society that oppresses them? Why don't they rebel? - a lot of people expect ot live in a society where they are oppressed... - and others expect to oppress... - guess - our culture and genes came through a bottleneck of feudalism... - a few people fat and happy and scared to death of a war with their neighbor - and a lot of people who learned to live in soul crushing conditions... - the feudal societies - killed mostly everyone else... - we have echoes - but to large extent most people who didn't think in a feudal manner - was killed and never had kids... - Might not be societal - might be genetic - bred people by killing the rest to be in peasant or lord mode... - ## Bruce Mau, Paul Dolan, SNAP from <https://schoolofdesignthinking.echos.cc/blog/2020/09/principles-to-change-everything-with-bruce-mau/> Bruce recommends a process that taps into the emotional aspects of decision making from Paul Dolan who developed a process called SNAP – Salience, Norms, Affects and Primes. SNAP strives to make change feel normal, not different with these core ideas: - **Salience** – for capturing attention to get people to think about changing something - **Norms** – harness the power of the invisible structures that hold us in place and that people tend to follow without questioning - **Affects** – Discover the emotions that affect how most major decisions are made. For example, buying a house, if you really fall in love with one it is possible to spend more than originally planned - **Primes** – are messages in the environment that help you do the right thing. For example a little sign on the freeway that says buckle up at the moment that you’re driving ## - Moving in response to request - Book - Young man - training / questing - Judy - Wisdom - Strategy and Planning and Wisdom - This also relates to the Narrative Structure of Consciousness... - and the notion of Depth in an interdependent system of thought... - in terms of how many other (Domains) are dependent upon the validity of a (Pattern) perceived as more of less Domain Independent - Somehow this is imporant to AI... the mathematical patterns of langauge and vice versa - AI will help cross the walls between langauges a lot... - AND - - We shouldn't program AI to lie to us - to suit ideological or religious agendas / narratives - A layer of subtlety on top of that... - which is something like... - a liminal zone - - where you don't want to lie and say something is true... that you both know is false... - but you are trying to grow into something via story... - This approaches what we might call in the [[Lionsberg Lexicon]] the [[Meta Science]] - Every claim we could make about Reality is united within some kind of a Map of Reality - And we are continually working to improve the Fit of our Map to Reality - (Not critical path - so maybe do it after we succeed in the milestone of publishing the "real book") - Process - Document steps to walk through - Decide what we want to automate - Writing the program (and learn how to write programs) - Running the program (and learn how to run programs) - There are reasons to teach non-technical people how to use the command line to get stuff done - If you are paying people - you would have them use command line - If they want to - maybe have them use command line - If you are going to distribute it - maybe use GUI - "Regular people can use the command line too" - it is not that it is hard... - You have crash landed at the enemy base... if you know just a little bit of command line stuff... - if you know a tiny bit of command line stuff... if you someone wants you to do something on DOS, linux, remote server... you can do it... ## February 26, 2023 - Planning converstaion - Instead of starting off with the problem... - start with a proposed solution - I have a plan... or there is a solution and together we will find it... (call to action) - then a framework - You want to call to good intent - who can also implement - below the thread - at least a couple people saying I wish there was a plan - - or I don't wish there was a plan - or frustration and grumbling - If you had something extraordinary - I know we have been at a lower level - Let's together rise up and really nail this - You can't solve a problem... with the same level of thinking... - we have proven that pushing notes and talking in these kinds of meetings... - moves the ball a little but not really... - Schedule seems massively over optimistic... - Another approach - Break up the normal way we interact... and parcel out activities - It may be that you can kind of give people homework... - Let's do this differently... - For those who are called... go out into your life, find 3 people who haven't heard this story before, and see if you can get them to come to a meeting... - that is a microcosm of polycentric thinking and problem solving... and injects new energy into it... - A way to help people select in... get more energy into the group... - And replaces - - the ruts and patterns that would manifest - let's disrupt right away and see where we get to... - Other Feedback - Pete believes in massive decentralization... - what Pete would want to see is... - reaching and teaching more people about... - massive decentralization 101 and 110 - expect that of those you reach, 1/2 will find it interesting... - maybe 10% actually resonate, get it, this is similar to what I have been thinking... - I want to go off and do more, - or help you more - or help reach more people with this message with the 101 message - Lesson: We don't reach enough people... - Lesson: Most you reach will find any message interesting, but not compelling enough to engage... and the very few resonate and engage - Part is reaching and teaching people, every once in a while injecting a little bit of The Message... - Statement to Revisit from Pete - - AGI might be part of force of life... - or might be bad... - need to get to that decision point... - How do we think about humans with superpower that can create or destroy at scale... - We got badly derailed in lead up to industrial revolution - NEXT STEP - E book - because we don't know how much time it will take... might be quick or not... - Successfully published on 2/26 call - Revisit next steps list above for next call on Thursday ## February 29, 2024 - We can check of mission accomplished as of last week... - So we can focus on - Trying to ensure as little reproducability as possible - but not in jeopardy so reasonable - Would be nice to have everything written down and documented - Between now and Monday - work on any automation... - These pages in wiki to turn into x - Editing? - Book Template - define the parameters, talk about each of those, maybe pick up a book to see how it feels... - Archive.org has a ton of books scanned you can look at easily... - Hope to exit this meeting with a list of things we want to start to define... figure out the parameters before define something... - then the act and art of defining - takes more days and weeks... - Get a nice rev 1 template, that over the next couple books we want to improve - classic, timeless look and feel, that will evolve over the course of a couople books... - Reducing any drudge work you need to do - Empowering me to know what kind of automation is easy and hard, and maybe learn to do some of that yourself... - Almost extra credit to do that.. - Authoring Progress - Status of Pages - From inception / inspiration, draft, completed, reviewed, locked... - Some of those statuses are exception statuses... - Obvious this is important, I want it around, so I put it in the graveyard... - Developmental Editing - - Copy Editing - duplicated words - Publication editing - having sometone read through for fact checking, overall coherence, relevance, etc. - Open / low cost / volunteer projects don't benefit from much - but it is important to make a high quality book - ChatGPT - - Review this for spelling errors and typos, repeat it, but do not change any of the wording. - Scan this for mispelling, typoes, repeated words, bold them, flag them, show me where they are - A level up - look for clumsy sentences or runon sentences... - flag it - or fix it in place and bold it... - Can we automate it for 30,000 words - Write a script that cuts it into 1,000 word sections, make sure you stop at paragraph or section boundary - python script that runs that through Chat GPT... - What does AI need to know about the whole prior to working on the sections in the right spirit - Author's Intent - Seeing the Whole first - Then working on the parts - There are different semantic levels that you need to operate across - For example - I can't read for the meaning of a piece if there is typos in it... and I am really good at spotting typos... - So if I try to read the whole thing, I can't because the mistake is flashing, can't consider the meaning until I fix the mistake - In a more nuanced way, go through steps up buildng up the text, and reviewing it for publication - By the time we are pre-publication we are post-authorship... - Can give ChatGPT in overlapping chunks of a couple hundred words - have it looking for simple things homophones, repeated words, not worrying about author's intent, voice, etc... - Maybe there is a step before... - does this make sense - anything too repetitive or out of order... - Voice and tone - are probably in writing process - as you are working with the tool to. help expand ideas, want it to have an idea of background, tone and voice... - Do all that in authoring, none in post-authoring / pre-publication... - Or bounce it back into authoring process... call it a process exception... - - Focus Group - Galleys aka Advanced Review Copies (ARC) - sending out Review Copies - after book is done, when we need to generate buzz - A stuck book in Neo Books - Author thought about it, is done with it, and author onto the next book - don't have the resources for someone to read it, digest it, find transitions missing... give feedback... - Bill Anderson spent some time with it - and felt it is a big job... - a lot of refinement that could be done... - Missing part of the ecosystem, not easy to get it, hard to talk of it being of value... ## Book Template - Wikipedia page... - A set of patterns - a Pattern langauge for kinds of books... that have these kinds of book sections... then zooming into a book pattern... - copyright page - acknowledgement page - end and start of chapter - start of first chapter - pages - footer - header - incidental images - incidental quotes - Call out boxes to introduce a chapter - Quotes - Style Guide, lots of patterns, at several scales, describing what we think a beatiful book looks like... relationships between patterns... exceptions to the pattern... - Fonts - what fonts do and don't look good - how we use a couple fonts together - San Serif - headers - San Serif - sub headers - Serif for body - Differences for e-books and paper - Doug Hoffsteader - wrote some amazing books on logic. - A meditation on the art of translation... takes a short 14th century French poem... how would I translate and caputre meaning... rhythm... context between author and young girl... - has different people and machines write translations - A lot fo music and less meaning - less music and more meaning - In forward - he talks about the act of writing a book... - Wrote a book... - Involving roundtripping through the literal draft, print editions, including font, line breaks, etc. - describes how the book itself was shaped by that process... - when he chose the font he really liked, found lines fell at a certain place... - Would tear apart chapters becuase they didn't wrap right... - That process... he thought was critical to the content itself... - The book changed... - Christopher Alexander Pattern Language Book on architecture... - Classic book - written at a time when you presented information in text and - Automations - Level 1 - Getting a couple tools we really need to accelerate progress - Level 2 - Being able to use those tools - Level 3 - Being able to make small changes to those tools - Level 4 - Being able to make big changes to tools - Level 5 - Being able to generate new tools - The more we can all work on automation tools, - each person might create and improve tools in ways that pete wouldn't - Recently becoming obvious that other bots are catching up with GPT - Pi.ai - Perplexity - Anthropic - Local LLMs - In future - a lot of - Command Line - you unlock a lot of power to do automations if you abstract out the user interface... - if you can get humans to use command line instead of humans you can just write the processing and not manage all the gui stuff... ## Next Steps - - Maybe Jordan and Pete will figure out the work flow from a Zoom or RiversideFM recording, to transcripts in multiple language, uploaded YouTube or other than enables viewers in different languages to display closed captions from the translated transcript in their own language ## 2024.03.01 - Jordan is working on translation - - Pete also mentioned services that will send you back videos of you talking in another langauge... - Group meeting? ### Websites - Helene's existing website - WIX - simpler than wordpress / wordpress themes. - If we level up Massive a little, to be more pretty, a little more graphic design sensibility - then it is good in lots of different ways - Wix and WordPress - have to pay for hosting... - Massive - netlify - free - Massive Wiki - available offline, copy, etc. - Move everyone closer to the ground on massive, at same time move up Massive design capabilities meet in the middle. - and this would scope into Massive Wiki grant proposal ## JPPB Retrospection ### Harvesting from calls and notes - Curating, composting, harvesting... a lot of people don't enjoy this. And a lot of Value is lost if you don't. - The right thing may be to define the Norms - about this - And then start to learn... - The way to do harvesting is kind of iteratively and successively, and like you are doing [[Composting]]. - If we take a video where we recorded. - One way to harvest is to assign to a harvester... who can do a batch... - Then - someone needs to harvest the harvested thing... have somebody Index It. - The first harvesting really just creates something you can harvest from again. - Here are teh two calls where Pete talks about Obsidian... - You want to get the intial thing into a form where you can access it just in time - I need to know about Obsidian - Here are the two calls where pete Discusses - That is a good start. - Let's go over AI summary, maybe replay certain parts of it, compost it, - let's make a reflection about the call - vs. 100% reflection... so we are just getting the persistent nuggets. - You have participants doing a find grained Revelation / Recollection Thing - Then you organize all of that with an index - Then if you have that set of artifacts, someone else will do a higher level harvesting composting thing - where they write a new blog post, reference into the archives where I learned or was inspired. - Composting - is a pretty good metaphor - because in a call - it is all jumbled up - lots of boring parts, and a few important nuggets - need to keep going into there with a pitch fork, get the big things to the top, mixing, filtering, enrichment sort of thing. - The call is a lot like the stuff you would put into a compost... has to be broken down, mixed up... - Wiki Page for meeting - Video Link - AI generated summary - AI generated overview - Transcript - Group Notes... - The Idea is to (Teach) - And the higher order thing... requires a bunch of lower order things... - For Instance - Using AI... (well) - Requires HackMD, Obsidian, Password Manager - For most people, takes a really high level of detail, repetition, commitment... - Hypothesis - - AI is good enough often for the first cut at harvesting and summary... - Then the time for humans to review and add in what they perceived of particular Value... - Why is it worth that time... - Almost like reviewing and approving the previous minutes / board meeting - So tempting to try to get everything done in a meeting - A different way to look at it is that we are in a continuing process of discernment, refinement, imagination, etc. - If you are in meeting after meeting trying to get a lot done driving on tasks - you get good at that - feels clumsy to spend 15 minutes "wasting time" to look at the past. - If you developed a practice, feel clumsy at first, later - would feel natural, like way you stepped into a flow of thinking and doing, would feel natural, would feel exponential, the 15 minutes is worth an hour - once you are in that flow and used to it... then you will realize how stupid amnesisia about everythign in the past is... - A reflection time that adds value... - The effort it takes to stay on track through generations - Heuristic in Pete's wiki company - wiki was brain of corporate culuture - rule for new people - if you have a question - first ask the wiki... if in the wiki, in 2 minutes you are done, and understand why this set of protocols works - if not in the wiki - go figure it out, ask some people, and write it up in the wiki because someone else will have that question in two months... - Like RFI and submittal process in AEC - Progressively illuminating the designer's intent - How People Work - We care how people work - want to give them agency on what to work on - important to teach people how to do what they want... (even if we don't understand it) - Archtecture of The Plan makes sense - It is Ground Up - which is interesting - There is some global consciousnes - or something like that - or lots of global consciousnesses wrestling with each other... in some of the most powerful parts of the collective consciousness - gut feel or intuition - is that the grass roots, ground up, decentralization approach is necessary but not sufficient - There are orgnaizational structures at much higher level that need to be disassembled before you accomplish what you want - Build from the ground up... predict that over a thousand years ground up approach will win - That is too slow - organizational structures... such as - the ones we can think of... - the problem of Western Civiliation built out of interlocking things primarily accrued over the last hundreds of years - some of the powerful religions, or social structures around how nation states work, academic system works, legal system works, commercial system works. - Really entrenched, stable... powerful not the right word, firm not the right word... but the structure of them, because they ahve been beset by other forces for a couple hundred years, have calcified or annealed or been forged, not carefully constructed, but by lots of different people over time, such that they have evolved, and devolved, and become very foundational - and they reinforce each other - and nobody is even in control at the top level of many of them - powerful participants who work for them, or against them, or intermediate parts in a way that makes them more powerful - but the basic structures - have gotten closer to physical laws that social structure - Even if you designed the right thing that would follow those - or that slowly deconstructs them as people change their mind - every small change of mind weakens those structures, but very infetessimally - so hard to eat them from teh bottom, and they are self-healing at this point - and they have given humanity a lot... - even as they have taken a lot... - The way we have been living for 600 years is slowly - Pete - likes the timeline a lot - - and - feels different for Pete - feels like a 70 year war or hundred year war... - Those little towns and villages organizing - - they have to have an understanding that they are in a war - that not only do they have to sustain themselves, but they also have to thwart the forces that will be antithetical - not only is that a this year thing, or a generational thing, but you have to figure out how the strategy gets maintained... first couple decades pretty easy... a few generations later harder, strategy needs to have evolved over time, and have spread over multiple domains. - Like Jewish culture - how are we going to make this patterning happen over decades. - Not only - Domain Independent Patterns - A thing somebody should work on is - There is the domain of indivdiuals and small groups - the domains of western civilization, and its sub domains - even though we see it congealed and solidified, they are trying to get better and stay sufficient for a changing world - in some ways they are conservative, and in the ways they change they don't change - in other ways, they change a lot to adapt, remain relevant, and retain (power) - As one works towards a pattern that is righteous rather than evil at the level of groups - want to help the people with their hands on the levers of change in the big powerful systems... - find the - educate and assist them in applying Righteous rather than Evil patterns - The Pattern is domain Independent and Scale independent - the visible power points are not the best leverage points... - Might be that you reach into them, and slowly dissolve and reform the bureaucracy - way to infect it with Righteous rather than Evil pattern - Another pattern - where commerce and law, or law and environment... - March - 90 Minutes a week... - Lionsberg Critical Path Meeting - 9 to 10:30 - And hopefully most people on those teams are working with thier own teams. - Who are those people and how do they know how to project based work, that synergizes with other projects for the overall critical... - Critical path meeting - starts off as a proto - team of team leaders... - Talk abut the pattern, then make projects that align with one another... - Pete knows few who are good at project based work - ## Resources - [Quickstart on Python Programming with ChatGPT - Peter's AI 101](https://ai101.peterkaminski.wiki/quickstart_on_python_programming_with_chatgpt) ## Parking Lot - Notifications on our Chat System - Pete didn't see notices. - We are using free version of mattermost - not able to do push notifications to phones -
