- Can the targeted data be tied to the workspace?
- This could allow Texture Painting / Vertex Painting workspaces

- Should become consistent in naming and storing names across modes and in code underneath

- Select painting target for paint brushes (T96709)
- Mke the setting per workspace?
- Makes switching workflows more intuitive (via workspaces)
- But there's no per workspace settings in Blender
- Maybe even select color attributes in the material?
- More intuitive for shading workflow
- Maybe data target picing should be more automatic?
- First check for materials. If no materialavailble -> Use individual vertex color/ texture
- Maybe too restrictive?
- Maybe a toggle that is per workspace to toggle vertex/image painting?
- Renaming vertex color to color attribute
- Go ahead. Rename it everywhere
- Keep vertex paint mode as it is for now
- Add convertng color attribute operators
- Similar to attribute panel
- Sculpt vertex colors patch status
