ucloud is generic consumer;
metadata index of different data sets
standard
interface to api to harvest
procedure for accessing the individual data sets
single point of entry (where can i get data access)
__data hub__
demonstrate that this is possible, then the data providers is less important
## Data Finder ## to
- FAIR metadata
eudat b2: https://b2share.eudat.eu/ (lack quality assessment and bias analysis), large hotchpot of data
- AAU provides infratructure and services including what would be needed for DaaS provided an agreement is in place.
- we need integration between Data Finder and AAU
- Data Finder must be transparant for AAU and SDU.
- Live data would be placed at AAU OR SDU
- the new "udbud" regarding a national "data management system" might be relevant for DaaS
- No up front requirement on the data providers
- It's imposible to find machine understandable common denominators for the the national and Nordic data colelctions
## Data passport ##
WAYF: human to service, OAUTH (open id connect used by aaai system currently)
- some way to authorize machine-to-machine
- encryption
- governance model
- global alliance for genomic data
- [global alliance](https://www.ga4gh.org/genomic-data-toolkit/data-security-toolkit/)
- ELIXIR for cultural heritage data https://elixir-europe.org/
- collection of royal libraries issue passport
- central organization for libraries
- [XROAD](https://x-road.global/), governance and access to data, The free and open source data exchange layer software, federation across difference countries
- Focus ONLY on royal libraries
- Source of trust, X-Road, central source of trust,
- Organization that are the data controllers
- public;
- royal libraries have their own governance; central layer for governance
- ucloud is not there to impose rules; just set baseline for a common language --> complete decentralization
- the right interface
- move responsibility to royal library
- internal procedure;
- researcher searches for data :: point researcher for internal procedure at at royal library :: get access in specified system (pre-authorized ) ::
- __express decision in common governance system (json token), what the royal library is given access to (royal library issue/revoke)__
- __royal library agrees on what is a proper system(-s)__
- WAYF access for libraries (Nordics, each nation has their federation access, nationally through WAYF for dk), eduGAIN:
* All Trust WAYF, FIDE ... (identify for all organization)
* all parties agree on an identity provider that we trust
* some standard way/standard language to put decision about the WAYF
__passport__ a standard for sharing data; libraries need to enforce the passport; demonstrate in ucloud
## Federated Learning ##
- use case for 1 and 2 (if 1 and 2 in place, then 3 is trivial)
## Quality assessment and bias analysis
- who creates the quality and bias information — not UCloud as this would be a huge task
-
## Data provider ##
## Encryption ##
from the data provider, at the level of the data, organizations agree on the format for data exchange.
__Stakeholder__
Danmarks Statistik, access in UCloud
- Tool for identifying data sets
- Metadata exposed in UCloud
- Datavinduet
